Terrible night. Daddy had to comfort until 2 for him to sleep. Mommy had to nurse every 2 hours. Finally transfered him to grandma at 6:30. Resumed the bottle today but only drank 50ml.

Went to the festival again with parents and grandma Ly. Fell asleep again. This time with the Safety 1st stroller because mom wanted to do a lot of shopping. Bought Boom a cute deer.

Only napped a bit at noon. Enjoys rolling over and playing by himself most times. Dad went to the driving range and came back late so Boom didn't get to swim in the tube this week. 

Went to bed late. Ate so many times.

Btw, yesterday's weighing Boom did not gain weight, still 8.4kg

Slept through the night again after 4 nights of multiple wakings. Woke up and nursed a bit but then wanted to play. Daddy had to comfort back to sleep.

Had a good day with a walk in the morning. Then went to the fair with mom and grandma. In the evening went for a car ride with parents and grandma Ly. Picked up his birth certificate and new clothes from TQT. 

Took shoet naps whenever in the stroller or car. Had a longer noon nap. Was still sleepy upon waking up.

Went to bed late and was fussy. Had to nurse and comfort many times.

27/11: thanksgiving, terrible sleep, missed anniversary

Today is Thanksgiving in the US. Everyone is celebrating. Mommy misses it. 

Also mom & dad's dating anniversary but we are still having cold war.

Terrible night. woke up twice, at one time took 1.5 hours to get back to sleep with mommy nursing, daddy comfort and pooing twice.

Had only short naps throughout the day making total sleep record low for the month. 

Eating schedule better today but very bad sucking, staying on the breast long without eating much. 

Went to Le hoi van hoa dan gian at the square with mom and grandma. Behaved well in the stroller but never smiles when going out.

Went to bed late again at 10.

Note:

Disco dancing. Kicking hands and legs and have fun by himself.

Can play by himself up to an hour. 

Smile sweetly all the time.

Had a evening nap of 1h15. Went to bed late at 10. Multiple feedings continuously.

25/11: grandfather Minh visit

Did not sleep through the night but only wake up once at 3:20 and did not have to eat again until 9.

Grandpa was only able to hold Boom for a few minutes. Grandpa bought Boom a stuffed camel from Dubai. Grandpa brought back to HCM the portable crib and diapers for Boom to get ready for Boom's upcoming trip. Finally had a 1.5 hour early evening nap. Woke up at 7 just before daddy came home for dinner. Played for 2 hours. Went to bed at 9 after feeding. Had another dreamfeed at 10:45. Had to

24/11: worst night ever, mommy exhausted

Cried every hour for food. Mommy had to let Boom sleep in the bed. Would nurse a few minutes then fall asleep then cried for food again awhile later. 

A bit fussy in the morning. Only drank 40ml from the bottle and fell asleep.

Had a 2 hour noon nap but nursed a few times and cried a few times. 

Had a short afternoon nap after bath and playing. Slept and nursed again at 8 but woke up shortly. Daddy had to play w Boom and then played the lullaby, he lied on dad's chest and listened attentively. After a few rounds fell asleep again at 9:15. Mommy nursed again. Daddy had to comfort a few more times until last dreamfeed at 11:30. Then mommy put into crib.

Note:

Nowadays Boom only sleep through the night once in awhile.

Likes to be held to sit or stand upright.

Mom and dad not determined to sleep train Boom to sleep on his own so still had to be comforted to sleep

Associated sleeping with nursing. Everytime put down into the bed he would root for the nipple.

23/11: change of housekeeper, good sleep

After dreamfeed, Boom slept until 5:30 and all of a sudden scream for food, cannot even wait 1 minute. After feeding, slept again until 7:30, went for a walk, had a short morning nap, short noon nap, longer afternoon nap (mommy nursed twice).

Ms Tuat moved to Ms Bich's house because mommy wants Ms Lan B back.

Grandma Ly looked after Boom while mom and dad went to see a house. Daddy worked at home in the afternoon. Airconditioning still not fixed. No giup viec in the evening so daddy gave Boom a bayh and mommy took a trash out, ordered Indian food. Boom played happily by himself while family had dinner. Played happily after dinner. Daddy comforted to sleep at 8:20 and mommy nursed. Cried a couple of times. Mommy comforted and nursed. Dreamfeed at 10:45 before moving to the crib. Smiled in his sleep.

22/11: Sunday with grandma Ly

Because B went to bed late so mom had to dreamfeed late at 12:30. Woke up 2 times throughout the night. Probably hungry at night because he did not eat much during the day. Slept until 8.

Went for a walk while family had bfast at Half full. Fell asleep and nursed at home. Woke up right away and played. Mom went to Hoai's wedding so Boom only drank 20ml from a bottle and slept for 30'. Still playing when mom came back. Did not nurse and sleep until 3:14 but only for a short while. 

Took a bath and played. Took a short evening nap. Went to bed late at 10. Was fussy crying while sleeping and had to be comforted twice and nursed every hour until midnight.

21/11: went to Hoa Binh for the 2nd time

Slept through the night after 4 nights of continuous night wakings. Slept late in the morning. Today family went to Hoa Binh to pick up grandma. Luckily Boom slept on the way there and back and did not cry at all. Did not eat much all day in Hoa Binh. Took a short noon nap with 2 nursing sessions. Pooped on the way back and had to stop the car to change diaper.

Daddy gave Boom a bath in the tube while grandma and aunt Hong watched. Only napped in the evening and did not go to bed till late at 10:30

20/11: backtrack/ wonder week?

Boom cried after put down into crib. Daddy had to comfort. Then cried again. Mommy comforted and nursed and put to bed. Woke up again at 4 to eat then sleep until 7:30 (pooped at 6 while sleeping).

Ms Tuat took Boom on a walk by herself this morning and bottle fed him 85ml.

Had a short morning nap. Long fussy noon nap with 2 nursing sessions and 3 times had to comfort.

After bath had a short evening nap. Played with mom and dad. Every evening: play, listen to lullaby, some massage...

Note: maybe this is a wonder week? Boom is so fussy:

19/11: record cry meltdown

Mommy had to let Boom sleep in the bed because he woke up to eat a few times at night again. In the morning daddy fed 90ml by bottle. 

Went on a walk with mom and Ms Tuat. Took a morning nap. Ms Tuat got him to sleep for noon nap but he cried 5 times: 2 times mommy nursed and 3 times comfort back to sleep. Woke up, took a bath and then mom took Boom to TQT while daddy went for tennis.

Hang out on 8th floor with Ms Hong, Ms TD and Mr Cuong. Mom gave birth certificate paperwork to Ms Nga. Boom's name is Le Ba Phi Dan (Fidan Le). Then went to Ms Huyen. Had a record meltdown of crying non stop for 30'. 7 people had to carry him. Finally fell asleep  but would not nurse (last feed at 2pm). Mom and dad barely finished eating. Could not enjoy the meal. Took Boom home. He slept in the car but woke up upon arrival. Only nursed for 5' at home at 9PM (almost 7 hours since last feed). Played and facetime with grandparents Minh Hang. Went to bed late and did not really eat properly until then at 11 (many hours since last feed).

18/11: super growth spurt & difficult sleeping

Right after dreamfeed and put into crib, start crying. Mommy had to bring to bed and feed and let him sleep there. He ate every few hours throughout the night. 

Mommy is exhausted supervising new houskeeper all day.

This morning she only bottle fed Boom 100ml before he fell asleep. When he woke up mommy fed another 50ml. He was able to hold and control the bottle.

Was fussy during noon nap, waking up several times. Luckily dad was home to help.

Mommy had to so grocery shopping online because there is no time to go out. In the afternoon, Ms Tuat gave Boom a bath and mom and she took Boom for a walk. Mom did some grocery shopping at the convenient store downstairs. 

Took a cat nap while nursing early evening but then woke up and play for 2 hours and went to bed late at 9. Was hysterical a few times. Keep rolling over and wouldn't want to sleep. Hungry again after 1.5 hours so mommy let Boom sleep in the bed in case same thing happen like last night. 

Ate all the time since yesterday evening!

17/11: messed up schedule, 1 poop

Woke up at 3 and 5:45. Ms Tuat was able to bottle feed 50ml and fell asleep. Hasn't been on a morning walk for a few days. Had a morning nap, short noon nap. Played and slept again at 3 for almost 3 hours. Went to bed late at 9 and then woke up again. Cried a lot when daddy comforted. Mommy had to comfort and then nurse again. Mommt doesn't want to let Boom cry. Ate 3 times continuously in the evening.

Only poop 1 big poop today. First time ever he pooped so little!

New trends:

Only poop 3-4 times, big poop instead of lots like before. Some poop so messy creating leakage.

Almost always sleep in the car when traveling.

Can easily take him out nowadays. Hardly cries.

Misses bottle feed and morning walks these days due to lack of Ms Lan and also messed up schedule. 

Messed up schedule: sleeps in late in the morning. Short noon nap. Super long afternoon nap. Late bedtime.

Only have 2-3 naps per day instead of many (unless family goes out then he has many small naps). 

Taking longer naps, especially noon nap can be up to 3 hours if mommy nurse in between. When he was small, he would take 2+ hour naps throughout the day. Then from 2-3 months he would only nap for at most 45'- 1 hour. From 4 months his naps got better.

From 2-3 months he would sleep well from 7, 8PM until morning. Nowadays he sleeps late and always cries a few times in the evening needing comfort before settling.

Grabs everything to put in his mouth.

Can make loud angry noises when playing

Moods change quickly. Can be happy one second then have a sudden fit of meltdown (crying, arms and legs wavering, face all red, body shaking) then smile happily again when picked up.

16/11: late afternoon nap

Today is Sunday. Boom slept in like mom and dad. After 12:45 dreamfeed (refused to nurse earlier), slept until 6:30. Woke up to poop twice and ate a bit, fell asleep on his own after struggling. Slept until 10am. Woke up a few times in between but slept again.

This morning mom and dad took Boom to TQT to ask Ms Nga to do birth certificate for Boom. Went home and Boom took a long nap. Mom went foe coffee with some ICS friends. Boom slept until 4:30 and took a bottle with daddy. Daddy held Boom too tight so he spit up all over his and daddy's body. Had to give him a bath right away and took him for a walk so mom can buy some groceries. New housekeeper doesn't know anything and keeps forgetting things.

In the evening had a few meltdowns. played daddy's lullaby for 1 hour but Boom only lied still and listen. Had to interfere and nurse before he would fall asleep at 9:30. Refused dreamfeed at 11:30, mommy had to try a few times until 12:30

 

14/11: visited Ecopark

Today is better. Boom woke up at 5:30 and pooped and ate but sleeped again until 8. Daddy is home today (except for going to golf for 2 hours) so mom and dad took Boom downstairs for breakfast at the new cafe and in the afternoon went to Ecopark to Thuy Duong's apartment. Had a good time.

New housekeeper Ms Tuat is totally inexperienced and needs coaching in everything and cannot remember anything so mommy's so tired. However she can play with Boom a bit and take bath for him.

Boom had short naps here and there. Only pooped 3 times. Did not eat much except when sleepy. Other times just  sucked for a few minutes.

13/11: terrible day

Boom dirtied 2 beds: one with poop and one with drools. Took many small naps and went to bed late at 10 (awake for 4 hours). 

Did not have a bottle today. Ate only 7 times and long intervals apart but was ok. 

12/11: good day, Ms B sick

Ms Lan B was sick in the afternoon so mommy took care of Boom.

Did not sleep through the night. Woke up suddenly at 4:30 crying loudly. Ate then went back to sleep until past 7 to poop. Nursed very little.

Throughout the day had many feeds mostly because he would only eat for 5' then stopped if he weren't hungry enough. Morning nap was interrupted short because he needed to poop.

Had a very long 3 hour noon nap because mommy nursed twice in betwen to keep him sleeping.

Took a walk in the afternoon after bath and nursed and took a 2 hour nap.

Went to bed late at 9:30 due to late evening nap.

Had only 3 poops but big ones.

Need to feed him at least 3 hours apart! 

10/11: dirtied the bed again!

Woke up at 5:45 to poop and eat, then took a 1 hour nap.

Was a good day. Mommy took care of Boom most of the day. Had 120ml from the bottle and 1 hour morning nap. During noon feed, had to nurse a few sessions over 1 hour. Napped for 2 hours but had to nurse a bit in between.

Dirtied the bed again! Pooped while in bed and kicked his legs, making poop leak into clothes and bed.

Did not eat much in the afternoon. Only had - 15' evening nap listening to dad's recorded lullaby. Nursed at 7 but did not fall asleep until 8:15 when daddy comforted and played rhe lullaby. Had dreamfeed at 11 but was hungry again so mommy had to feed again at 12.

9/11: growth spurt?

Last night was terrible. Boom ate at 2:30, 5, 6:30. Suspecting he has a growth spurt, mom let him sleep in the bed feom 2:30 onwards. Early morning he pooped and kicked around the bed and created leakage dirtying his clothes and bedsheet.

Today is the first day Ms Lan A is not here. Mom went to the supermarket and bought a lot for the whole week. Boom drank 170ml from the bottle at home.

Was fussy early noon but after feeding, took a long nap for 3.5 hours!!! Won't wake up unless mommy made some noises. After bath, played awhile, nursed very little. Mommy bought some story books from Vinmart today, Boom likes story reading and looking at pictures. Daddy put Boom on his chest lying on the bed and put on daddy's pre recorded lullabies and pat on the back. Boom quickly fell asleep. Was too sleepy so nursed a little. Nursed longer for 1 hour (!!!) after awhile. Was fussy a few times and requires daddy to comfort on the chest (smiling smuggly). Would yell if put down. Refused 11pm dreamfeed. Only ate at 11:45. 

Note: 

Dirtied the bed. 3rd time making a mess: once into cloth because diaper was not tight, once on the floor right after washing ass, and 3rd time on the bed this morning because of kicking legs up after poop.

Mommy bought some story books from Vinmart today, Boom likes story reading and looking at pictures. Cried when daddy stopped reading.

Only pooped twice but farted in the evening and had poop sticking on the bottom.

Was fussy a few times and requires daddy to comfort on the chest (smiling smuggly). This has happened every night.

7/11: Ms Lan A quit, ate better, short naps

So it has been 3 days in a row that Boom slept past 6AM. But when he slept until 5, he would eat then sleep again until 7, 8. Now that he wakes up at 6, he wouldn't go to sleep again.

Today is Sat but daddy had to go to hai Duong for inspection until 3. Ms Lan A asked to quit. Boom ate better than yesterday but only took short naps here and there. Went to bed at 7. Ate at 8 & 11. 

Note:

Every evening daddy put Boom to bed by lying tummy down and massage on the back for a few minutes instead of using the rocking chair and singing lullabies.

Wakes up a few times every evening and requires comforting back to sleep. Can switch from smiling to crying in a second.

Ms Hanh & Mr Vinh visit and gave a story book. 

Boom gained weigh a bit, 8.3kg.

8/11: Sunday with mom & dad

Woke up at 4:30, refused to eat but after some strugglw, nursed a bit and went back to bed until 8. 

Overall was a good day with mom and dad. Had a morning nap, noon nap and late afternoon cat nap. Dad gave a bath in the rub in the afternoon and went on a walk. Ate every 2 hours, seems hungry. Went to bed at 7:30. Had to comfort a few times in the evening.

6/11: vaccination & Ms Huyen visit

Slept through the night again. After 11:20 dreamfeed, slept until 6:30. Did not even want to eat then. After going for a walk, only drank 50ml from a bottle.

Grandma Huyen visit while Boom had a morning nap. Ate almost nothing, only 5' here and there until afternoon.

Also only napped a few mins on the way to and from the hospital. We went in the afternoon so it was quick with no waiting. Boom cried a bit but was very brave.

Went home, pooped, took a bath then finally nursed a bit and took a long nap. Had another long nursing session. 

In the evening after waking up, played for 2 hours then nursed and went to sleep at 9.

Only pooped twice today.

5/11: lazy eating and late bedtime

Slept through the night! After 1AM dreamfeed, slept until 6 but refused to eat much and did not fall back asleep. So had to transfer to Ms Lan. Took some naps throughout the day but a very late noon nap. Did not eat much, only 5' if awake and more when sleeping. Had many feeds but barely ate. Finally ate more in the evening. Was supposed to go to sleep at 8 but woke up and would not fall aslwep again until 10. Still managed to poop a lot.

4/11: early evening sleep turns into late bedtime

A regular day. Woke up at 5 to nurse and poop then slept until 8. Would only nurse when sleepy. In the afternoon barely ate. Took 1 afternoon nap and then a long evening nap. Should have slept till morning but woke up and played and did not go to bed until 10. Mommy had to nurse a few times in the evening and up to 1AM for dreamfeed.

Nowadays drink little from the bottle, only 60-80ml.

Slept well. Woke up at 5 to poop and eat. Slept with mommy and daddy in the bed until 8.

Went for a walk and bottle fed 70ml. The whole day would only nurse while sleepy. At noon slept so deeply that he refused to nurse but woke up 45' to eat and end up sleeping almost 3 hours in total.

Had a long early evening nap. Can play by himself quite a lot these days. So cute like a doll.

Ms Hoai came to visit and gave her wedding invitation. Boom went to bed late at 9 after nursing but woke up when daddy changed diaper after 11:30 dreamfeed. Daddy had to comfort and mommy nurse again at 12:30 before falling asleep.

2/11: fussy evening

Woke up at 4, mommy found poopy diaper don't know since when. Fed and went back to sleep. Woke up at 7 and Ms Lan also found poopy diaper don't know since when. Nowadays he doesn't make sound when pooping or mommy didn't hear? 

Had a good day. Twice mommy tried to nurse but refused, have to wait 1 hour to nurse when sleepy. Took 2 cat naps in the afternoon and evening. Did not go to bed until 9. Fussy a few times in the evening.

Yell and get irritated a lot while playing if he loses his toys

When he was a newborn, he did not enjoy the baby gym. After 2 months, he start kicking and batting at things. Now at 4 months, he only grabs things but wants to hold many at the same time and  got angry if he could not bring to his mouth

These days he gets fussy every evening after sleeping

Boom slept really well. After 11pm dreamfeed, woke up at 5:30 which is 6.5 hours after dreamfeed. Found a big poop  so don't know how long it has been there. Struggled a bit but finally nursed back to sleep on the bed next to mom and dad. It's weekend so the whole family slept in. Boom woke up at 9 and when Ms Lan checked found another poop so don't know how long or when he pooped again.

At lunch family went to Tan Mai for lunch at BD's house. Boom napped on the way but woke up shortly. Napped while nursing there but also woke up. Napped on the way back and Ms Lan rocked back to sleep at home, then mommy nursed so he took a 2 hour nap to make up for whole day without much napping.

Daddy gave Boom a bath in the tub. Had a catnap early evening. Woke up to play and video call with grandparents in Hoa Binh. Went to bed at 9. Made noises and cried a few times, had to be comforted by daddy.

Goes to bed late in the evening around 9. Usually cries a few times and had to be comforyed back to sleep
