31/3/2017: very late bedtime

These days daddy slept on a mattress to not disturb Boom and mommy tried to sleep train Boom using Pantley removal plan. Still no results. Boom would nurse for 1 min and fall asleep but woke up every 2 hours. Last night the longest stretch was 4 hours then it was 2 hours afterwards. Mom could hardly sleep all night and felt tired all day.

Today mom let Boom stayed up late until 9PM. Daddy was out designing the potty. It was a big mistake. He refused to sleep and did not fall asleep until 11PM - 3 hours past his bedtime! From now on will have to ne consistent. He would not let Ms Tuong rock and insisted that he fall aslwep in bed on his own. Keep saying "Boom ngu roi" "Mommy ngu roi" "Oto ngu roi" but was wide awake. Mommy nursing him could not help. Finally after many trials Ms Tuong could get him to sleep.

Nowadays he only wants daddy to go thr bedtime ritual of saying goodbye to moon and stars and listening to music. He even sings "anh oi" me oi"

Nursing less during the day. Would suck for 1 minute without actually getting much milk. 

Potty training got some results. Cansometimes  pee in the toilet standing up. Cannot poop yet although he knows all images of people pooing and can announce that "Boom i roi"

Very curious when it's pee time at school and all classmates go to pee. Would follow them and observe but still does not know how to do it.

30/3/2017: night waking

Terrible. Woke up at 4:20AM and would not go back to sleep until 7-8. Mommy exhausted and slept all morning and afternoon.

Behaved well after school. Went to bed early at 8 but woke up immediately. Toss and turn in bed for 1 hour before falling asleep again at 9:30.

28-29/3/2017: good days, night weaning

Good days at school. Sometimes refused  to go to school and wanted to play in the playground. 

Went to bed earlier so woke up earlier. 

Mommy has been trying to remove Boom from the nipple early during night time to night wean. He would fall asleep right away but woke up again in 2 hours. Mommy hardly got any sleep these past nights. But still had to be patient. 

Cannot pronounce B very well so mixed up with M. Will say Moom instead of Boom and mế instead of bế

Favorite activity: pointing to things and asking "cái gì đấy"

Can say Mommy over there, over here...

Gets upset when his socks became lose or fall out. Would shriek or say Uh Oh. 

Becoming independent. Would not let others assist him.

Curious to see classmates pee pee during toilet breaks but still does not know how to do it.

27/3/2017: late for school, early bedtime

Woke up late. Late for school. However these days he always walks to school and rarely cries.

Had fun playing at school and at home after school. Ate well without mommy. Talks a lot "Cái gì đây?" Pointing everywhere. 

Likes reading books, cooking, playing doctor with stuffed animals. 

Would not ask for TV but very happy when allowed to watch TV. 

Cried a bit when daddy rocked Boom to sleep. 

26/3/2017: Sunday swimming and playground

Got up early at 7 so played with Ms Tuong and went to friend's house while mom and dad slept in. Had a good long early noon nap but nursed a lot. 

In the afternoon played in the playground and went swimming with parents. Spent the rest of the evening at home playing, reading books with parents, went to bed ontime at almost 9. Ate OK but not a lot.

25/3/2017: ASG carnival and Mr Binh's bday

Boom did not eat much today. Had a slight runny nose. Mom really scared Boom will get sick again. 

Boom had a fun day. Went to ASG carnival with mom and Ms T. Then played downstairs in the square. There was a Sunlight event. 

In the evening went to TQT for Mr Binh's bday. Boom behaved and had fun playing with the dogs and cat but did not eat much. Enjoyed looking for the dogs and feeding Bong the cat. Kissed everyone when saying goodbye. Went home and ate some desserts and went to sleep late at 10.

24/3/2017: mommy and dad pick up from school

Went to school on time. Walked all the way carrying his things. Have been walking to school happily and not crying at all this past week. Teacher said Boom is fine and happy.

Nowadays would pee into the toilet successfully a few times when Ms Tuong or daddy instructed. 

Mom and dad picked Boom up from school. Boom was very happy. Mom saw Boom sitting in class and drinking milk with classmates very well.

Mom bought Boom a cooking set toy. Boom was very happy. Played and fed stuffed animals.

Ate well. But fussy and wanted to nurse whenever mommy was around. Went to the supermarket. Ate eggs, drank some milk, did his bedtime routine. Dad wasn't home so Ms T got B to sleep. Boom cried a bit. Boom prefers that daddy brings Boom to sleep. 

Boom these days look healthy and chubbier.

23/3/2017: wonderful moments

Late for school again. However, was happily getting out the house and walking to school. 

Would come home and ask for Mommy. Ate well without mommy. Would eat rice and 2 desserts. Before bedtime he would eat 1 boiled egg (only the white part) and drink some milk but refused milk today.

Uncle Tho picked up and brought grandma Ly back to Hoa Binh today. Boom was really sad to see them leave.

Boom now knows how to show off. After building a tower of blocks, he would run around to find daddy and uncle athonto show them. His proud face when people complimented was priceless. If someone was not paying attention, he would run after them to try to pull them to show them his stuff. Same thing after he took the shells off an egg. It was wonderful. 

Doesn't like it when Ms T rocked him to sleep but enjoys bedtime ritual with daddy: turning off the lights, saying good bye to moon and stars, listening to music... 

22/3/2017: no time with mommy

Still nursed a lot at night. Woke up in time for school. Was even walking out the door and asking Ms T and grandma to hurry up. Insisted on wearing flip flops and got rash on his feet. Wanted to play in the playground. Ms T had to carry to school. Cried a bit but did not cry upon arrival and greeting teachers.

Went home and ate well, played downstairs in the megamall, drank milk. Did not see mommy because mommy had a training and arrived home at 9 when Boom was about to sleep. So sad. Miss Boom a lot. Boom also kept asking about mommy.

- sometimes even acted and pretend to pouch his lips and cry

- thinks mimi and mommy are the same so now calls his classmate "Mimi" as mommy

21/3/2017: said No to milk

Woke up at 8:20. Barely made it in time for breakfast at school. Walked all the way to school and did not cry when teacher greeted. 

Went home and played downstairs in the playground. Turns out many children Boom knows also goes to ASG.

Ate well when mommy was hiding in the bedroom. Was happy to see mommy but jump on to nurse immediately. Was a bit fussy, would not leave mommy to eat. Refused milk, noodle, yakult. Brush teeth carelessly. Went to bed with daddy at almost 9. Demanded to nurse a bit later.

20/3/2017: well behaved

Slept until 9:20. Woke up for 1 hour in the middle of the night. Mom had to comfort and nurse back to sleep.

Very happy and well behaved except a bit fussy heading out to school in the morning. Played in the playground after school.

Ate well. Very happy to see mommy. 

Went to bed a bit late at 9.

19/3/2017: swimming after 4 months

Good day. Ate breakfast. Played at home then went to visit relative.

Had lunch, took a nap. Went swimming indoors after 4 months break. Boom slipped and fell on the floor. Luckily he was fine.

Went to sword lake for pizza 4ps with parents and grandma Ly and Ms Tuong. Boom did not eat much. Went for a walk but it was raining so went home. Boom finished a sausage on the ride home. Stayed in his car seat because mommy said the police would spank babies who do not use a car seat.

Went home and drank milk. Went to bed at 9:15. Knows when its bedtime and always tries to avoid, making faces, shaking his head, saying no.

Changed a lot since Tet. Does not say Mimi anymore. Can repeat everything and pronounce quite well.

18/3/2017: saturday at home

Slept until 8:20. Still nursed a lot at night. 

Stayed home and played with mom and grandma Ly. Really enjoys having grandma Ly around and would knock on her door and call her all the time "bà ơi"

Went to megamall but asked mommy to carry and wanted to nurse. Did not eat well during the day but ate better in the evening. Mom let Boom watch Youtube for 1.5 hours while mom fed yogurt, milk, eggs. Now mom is so pressured to feed Boom.

Daddy went out to design the Boom potty all day. Played with Boom and read books in the evening.

Boom took a late and long nap for 3 hours so went to bed late at 10 after playing in bed for a long time with mom and dad.

15-16/3/2016: regular days

Regular days at school. Mom still sick. Mom went to a few events and rested at school.

Boom seemed used to new school. Less crying. Even ran in once without crying. Enjoys the walk to school, even if it's raining.

17/3/217: sleep regression, flu vaccination

Mom went to sleep early with Boom. Boom woke up in the middle of the night again. Took about 1 hour or rocking to get back to sleep. Mom had to

Bring Boom to the toilet so mom could pee. Boom was blinking and sleepy. 

Went to school late in the rain. Walked and held the umbrella by himself. Would not let anyone touch him.

Picked Boom up early to go to Vinmec for flu vaccination. Poor Boom cried on and off. Hated doctor examination. 

Did not eat as much for dinner. Had a big piece of chocolate candy before that. Nowadays he started enjoying chocolate and sweets. Ms Tuong rocked to sleep but woke up again. Daddy had to rock to sleep again at 9.

14/3/2017: early to school, long day for mommy

Boom woke up early at 7 so made it in time for breakfast at school.

Mom had a long day: mentor training program then coffee with Ms Nhung Garena. Got home at 7pm.

Boom was already very active and finished eating. Nursed a bit then played and continued eating and going about his  routine. Went to bed a bit late about 9 because mom finished dinner and bath late. Did not need to nurse during put down. 

13/3/2017: good day

Boom Slept from 8:30-9AM. Late for school and missed breakfast again.

Mommy had a start up event in the morning and had lunch at TQT. Rested in the afternoon. Still bad runny nose.

Ms T and grandma Ly picked Boom up from school and took Boom to the playground. Boom had lots of fun. 

Mom and to hide when Boom got home so others can feed and bathe him. Was really happy to see mommy.

Did his routines: food, yogurt, milk, medicine, water, wipe face, change, diaper change, nose drop, brush teeth before bed. Went to bed on time at 8:30.

Talks like a parrot but favorite word is still "no" and waving his hand.

12/3/2017: monster!

Woke up at 11:30 and would not go to sleep until 3AM! Mommy and daddy exhausted. Tried to rock and nurse him but he would be mumbling complaints. Then he would play and talk non stop and be super hyper. Hard to be mad at him.

Finally went back to sleep at 3 and slept until 10. Luckily mommy did not have to work. Went to school in time for lunch. 

Mom went for an interview at CHAI NGO and re examination at Vinmec. Still had bad runny nose. 

Ms Tuong and grandma Ly picked B from school. Mom rested for a while. Boom ate ok.

Boom now turned into a little monster. Runny around, playing pranks, laughing, talking. Exhausting to run after him, especially to get him to eat so sometimes had to turn on the TV for him to slow down.

Mom spent the whole evening chasing after Boom to eat che dau den, yogurt, drink milk, brush teeth, drink medicine, water, nose etc. before mom and dad did not pay ad much attention. Nowadays mom and dad are much more focused on feeding and taking care of Boom. So Ms Tuong being away is good in some sense.

Went to bed on time at 8:30. 

Been calling mommy instead of mimi for 1 month.

Can say long sentences

11/3/2017: Ms Tuong's return

Family slept in until 10AM. Ms Tuong returned so ate home. Boom happy but spent most time with parents and grandma. Mom still had to take care of Boom and do some housework since Ms Tuong was busy cooking and doing housework.

Daddy gave Boom a haircut. Cried and did not enjoy, even during bath time afterwards.

Grandparents Minh Hang are in Malaysiaa for a tango festival. They bought lots of gifts for Boom. They are going to Italy soon for another festival. Mommy felt so jealous. Don't have the luxy of traveling like that anymore.

Boom ate ok. Played well. Had 2 hours nap and went to bed at 9. Still had to nurse during put down. 

10-11/3/2017: sick days

Mommy stayed home. Still haf to do housework, drop off and pick up Boom. Only had housekeeper for a few hours on Fri. No one to help on Sat.

Went to Vinmec but doctor only gave some nose drops. Did not get better. Went to sleep with Boom and woke up late. Took a nap at noon.

Boom cried a bit during drop off but teacher said he was fine during the day. Seems like he got used to the new school. 

9/3/2017: mommy still sick, last day at work

Boom woke up early at 7:15. Mom and dad had argument. Stressful geting ready to leave the house. 

Mom had busy last day at work. Managed to squeeze in to attend an interview at Moca. Quite tough interview but optimistic. Mom very sick and tired. Could not breathe. 

Finished wok and relieved to go home. Finally free. Had to take care of Boom until 8:30. Boom stuck to mommy and nursed a lot. Would not leave mommy alone. 

Slept well at 8:45. Did not drink milk. But ate lots of rice.

Still mad at daddy.

8/3/2017: women's day with no gift

Crazy terrible day. Mommy late for work again. Uber car took 20' and did not show up. Very upset. Had to call Ubermoto.

Boom slept in and had to be woken up to go to school. Boom has been waking up late recently, always misses breakfast at school.

Mom prepared small gifts for teachers on 8/3. Teacher Abbie said Boom only cried a little. 

Mommy really sick but still had to stay at work until 4:15 to say farewell. However the snack for farewell party did not arrive.

Ms Thuy came to help clean the house. She is very professional. Grandma approved. Ms Nhung still sick. Ms Tuong asked to extend leave until Sunday.

Internet people came to install cable and ruined the internet connection. 

7 deliveries in 1 day: 4 at lobby, 2 at the apartment and 1 failed. 

Boom stuck to mommy so mommy could not rest. Ate a little. Did not drink milk but lots of orange juice. Runny nose seemed better. Daddy brought food home really late. Boom slept without nursing late at 9:20. Pooped 3 times. 

Mom and dad really stressed because of lots of work and sickness. Daddy upset about internet. Mom upset about daddy not caring during 8/3.

 

7/3/2017: mommy sick and quit job

Mommy left before Boom and daddy woke up but was still late for work. Boom has been waking up late at 9AM recently. Cried less at school and teacher said he seems to be enjoying, eating well and behaving.

Mommy had runny nose and could not breathe, also a headache. Boom must feel terrible too with constant recurring runny nose. Mom handed in notice to wuit job and will wrap up in a few days.

Mom took afternoon off because of sickness but did not have anytime to rest. Had so many housework to do. Ms Nhung part time sick so had to orde Hainanese chicken rice for dinner. Mr Tho stop by for dinner and bring grandpa Thia back to Hoa Binh. Grandma Ly stayed. Boom was sad.

Boom went to bed late at 9:30 because mom was trying to do all the routines for him: bath, nose spray, medicine, diaper, change clothes, eat yogurt, drink milk, brush teeth, clean face, cut nails, drink water etc.

6/3/2017: difficulty sleeping

Played until 2 and cried to sleep. Parents really tired and mad. Daddy angry.

Mom went to work late again. Boom and daddy woke up at 9. Still had lots of runny nose.

Had a good day at school. Still cried during drop off. 

Went home and ate ok. Drank milk well. Fell asleep when daddy rocked and sang but woke up upon put down because he could not nurse and could not sleep. 

Played until 11. Even sang "anh ơi" to the Lệ Quyên song playing in the background.

when daddy rocked again. Protested at first. Had to breath through his mouth. Parents so worried that he is sick again just after recovering. 

5/3/2017: sword lake with grandparents

Played well. Ate ok. Still runny nose. Hates nasl spray.

Family took grandparents to sword lake for a walk and Thai food. Boom had fun but only walked for awhile and made parents carry him the whole time.

Ate a sausage on the way home. Went to bed late at 9. Woke up at 11 and had difficulty sleeping.

4/3/2017: runny nose again

Was fussy and woke up early morning for awhile. Daddy had to comfort. Mommy nursed back to sleep. Slept until 10:30!!!

Mommy had Skype interview for a new job. Had another part time housekeeper came. Since Ms Tuong went to hospital, mom had had to call in so many housekeepers.

Boom had runny nose again. Mommy had to use nasal spray 3 times. The first time he was cooperative but the last time he was crying.

Did not nap. Went to pick up grandparents from train station coming from Ha Tinh. Boom napped on the way there and back.

Even helped to put food into the fridge, loves throwing trash. 

Can only say No so says No to everything. Even push his hand out and wave to say No. If the answer is yes, he would be silent or show other signs of agreeing. 

Was very happy to see grandparents. Played very well with grandparents. Ate a bit. 

Loves taking bath with daddy. Automatically go into the bathroom, take off his clothes and diaper and climb into the bath tube by himself.

Can talk a lot, each sentence of 3-4 words. Repeats whatever adults say. Went to bed a bit later than usual at 9. 

In order to get him to brush his teeth, parents had to sing and brush teeth for him to join or open Youtube some brushing teeth songs. 

3/3/2017: TGIF

TGIF. Mommy exhausted and need a break. 

Boom has been eating well and peeing a lot, day and night. Mim has been changing diaper for Boom in the middle of the night.

Whole family late for work and school again. Mom sat in the car with Boom and daddy like yesterday until reach school and daddy brought Boom up. Boom cried again but teacher said he was happy the rest of the day. 

Ate well with daddy at home but not much rice. Ate 3 strawberries. Played, bathed, drank milk, brushed teeth and slept. Nursed. Would not let parents cut his fingernails.

2/3/2017: getting better

Daddy and mommy woke up late. Did not have time for breakfast but mommy gave Boom some yogurt and Yakult. Enjoys brushing teeth. Brought Boom to school but daddy went up, mommy stayed downstairs to catch a Uber to work. Was really late. Boom still cried but got better. Teacher said he was still playing with his car during nap time. Wonder if he napped at allz was sleepy at home in the evening.

Mommy tired and stressed afterwork. Had regular routine at home. Did not eat much rice but ate 3 strawberries. Nursed a lot (almost fell asleep). Went to bed on time. 

By the time mommy finished with housework it was already 10AM.

1/3/2017: screaming at school

Daddy had to bring grandparents to the railway station so dropped mommy and Boom off at school. Boom screamed when mommy went up the stairs to the school and upon drop off to the teachers. Mommy was heartbroken. However Ms Abbie said Boom stopped crying afterwards, ate breakfast and was happier after nap time. 

Had regular routine at home in the evening. Ate well. Nursed a lot. Fell asleep but woke up again só mommy had to nurse back to sleep. Mom and dad had an argument. Mommy is really mad at daddy. Everyday mommy had to do lots of housework and errands until late at night. Had no time to rest or do anything else. Ms Tuong still showed no sign of coming back. New part time housekeeper Ms Nhung is okay but the house is still dirty.

28/2/2017: no more antibiotics, grandparents visit

Last dose of antibiotics in the morning. Mom and Boom overslept. Mom late for work again. 

Boom cried in the morning on and off but was happier in the afternoon. Even drank a whole carton of milk.

Grandparents stopped by overnight on their way from Hoa Binh to Ha Tinh.

Was very happy when grandma Ly picked Boom up from school. Had fun with grandparents. 

Ate a little. Did not eat mich rice but ate cheese, dessert, caramel, bread, goat milk. Pooped twice in a row. A gigantic poop.

Went to bed on time.
