Daddy woke Boom up while changing diaper in the middle of the night mom had to nurse then daddy comforted to

sleep. Slept until 6 and woke up to poop. Mommy woke up to pump. After diaper change, played with grandma then fell asleep for an hour. Woke up to bottle feed 70ml then went for a walk with grandma Ly and Ms Lan. Came back and played, nursed and played again. Would not fall asleep except for when nursing. Mommy had to nurse again but woke ip and played. Mommy nursed again before leaving for lunch with Mr Kim. Boom fell asleep.

Mom was so engorged and can't wait to get back to Boom. But Boom already took a bottle of 110ml so mommy had to pump. Boom playef with granfma then grandma put Boom to sleep. Took a 3 nap before bath.

Nursed after bath for 10' then split up all over mom's body. Played happily again with grandma while mommy took a shower. Grandma was able to get Boom to nap for 30'. Woke up again, mommy nursed but Boom wouldn't sleep and played with grandma until 8 before grandma can get Boom to sleep. Grandma was watching Boom while mom and dad had dinner with Julien visiting. Mom gave Boom dreamfeed at 9 and 11:30

Slept through the night. Woke up at 6 to poop and play by himself for awhile. Mommy rescued him smiling to change diapers. Refused to eat so lie on the bed to play with daddy for an hour. Mommy nursed again but ate very little before falling asleep again for an hour. Woke up to go for a walk with Ms Lan and then bottle feed 60ml. Took another morning nap. Woke up to play and feed and a noon nap for 1.5 hours. Woke up and then fell asleep again for another 10'. 

Finally woke up to play and then feed. Took bath, feed again. Would not fall asleep. Keep on playing. Finally took a 1 hour nap when daddy came home. Woke up to eat dinner then fell asleep. Had a dreamfeed at 11.

Backtrack! Suddenly woke up at 12:15 crying. Mom and dad so surprised. Dad had to comfort to sleep. Woke again at 3h44 crying. Mommy had to nurse back to sleep. He has been sleeping well the past week so this was puzzling. Maybe because he didn't eat enougj yesterday? Also did not pee from 7PM until middle of the night so had the longest time between diaper change: more than 9 hours. He only peed and had a very small poop then.

Woke up at 6:30 and pooped and played by himself for 30' until mom and dad changed diapers. Refused to nurse so played until 8:20 when Ms Lan rocked to sleep and bottle fed 80ml. Took a walk eith Ms Lan and grandma Ly but it was too hot and sunny.

Had a good day. Stayed in parents bedroom with mom and grandma. Had a very long nap from late morning until afternoon with 2 wake ups to feed only. It has been a long time since Boom can take naps longer than 1 hour during the day. Woke up in the afternoon and played, bath, ate a few times dozing off but woke up again. Still awake when daddy came home. Tried to rock him to sleep but he was complaining out loud and only slept 5' so sat in the chair while the family had dinner. Got frustrated after awhile so daddy had to finish dinner quickly to comfort, mommy had to nurse to sleep. Finally settled for the night. Had dreamfeed at 11:30. Mom and dad assembled Boom's highchair (gift from grandparents)

Dreamfeed at 11:20 and then morning breakfast at 6:30. Toss and turn since 4AM making mommy sleepless, afraid Boom would poop. At 6 mommy woke up to pump because breast was engorged. Heard Boom wake up and pooped loudly. Mommy rescued Boom and then mom and dad changed diaper and wash Boom's butt. Boom was smiling happily.

After morning feed, Boom played with relatives for awhile and feel asleep so family was able to come downstairs foe breakfast at Royal buffet and let Boom sleep in the stroller and give him a sunbath. Went back home and played, only drank a little from the bottle when daddy fed. Had a short nap then woke up complaining. Mommy nursed and read Boom a story from nyt modern love, fell asleep after nursing mid morning. Daddy worked in the bedroom and mommy lie next to Boom on the bed. Woke up and fell asleep in daddy's arms again.

Family decided to visit bac Xuong. Boom fell asleep on the way there and towards the end. Stayed too long for lunch so Boom was hungry and irritated on the way back although mommy has fed while there.

Today grandma Ly stayed overnight.

Nursed and played at home then daddy gave a bath. Took a nap again then ate dinner. Played unhappily when family had dinner. Then pooped. Daddy comforted to sleep at 7:30.

Mommy gave dreamfeed at 9:30 but refused to eat much so mom had to pump because of engorgement and let Boom sleep on the bed until next feed. This time he ate more.

Still could not let go of swaddle because Boom is still startled 

Usually takes many small naps on days when there is a lot of travelling or activities

Boom had last dreamfeed at 11:30. Started tossing and turning around 5 and mom's breast was engorged so she had to get up to pump. Saw Boom wake up so decided to change his wet diaper (no poop yet) and fed him at 5:30. Pooped in the middle of feeding. After changing diaper, tried to feed him to sleep but he wouldn't sleep so daddy had to get up to play with him. He fell asleep after awhile. Took a bottle from Ms Lan in the morning before leaving for the hospital. Was not happy about the injection and cried. Did not eat twice when mom tried to nurse at the hospital. Napped on the way to and back from hospital. Ate well upon returning home, played with Mom and dad and then took noon nap. 

Took a very long nap 2h30 like last time. Seems like Synflorix vaccine makes Boom very sleepy. Played and bath in the afternoon. Grandparents and aunt Hong and uncle Tho came to visit Boom. Boom napped a bit when the family has dinner. Then he woke up to eat and the whole family went down to see Trung Thu celebration. Royal City decorated and has many activities but too loud for Boom so mom and dad took Boom for a walk by the swimming pool while the others went to the square. Got home and fed again but Boom was too excited with many people and sat in front of the TV so would not fall asleep. Daddy had to comfort twice to fall asleep at 9:45. Dreamfeed at 11:20

Had last evening early at 10:30 because he woke up crying. He is like a clock, crying for food exactly 3 hours after last feed. Slept through the night but was tossing and turing and kicking from 3AM making mom restless, always afraid he would poop. Finally at 5AM mom chhecked his diapers but no poop, decided to change anyway. Then he woke up and started to poop so mom sat and wait for him to finish pooping to change diaper and feed (7 hours since eveninf feed). Caught him just in time! If not for this poop maybe he would still be sleeping. Or maybe if mom did not change diaper, he aould still sleep and poop. He was smiling the whole time and so excited to be rescued from the crib. Mom nursed and let him sleep on the bed. He slept for an hour then woke up to play a bit with daddy, went for a walk with Ms Lan and drank 100ml from a bottle then fell asleep for his morning nap. Had 2 morning naps and 1 noon nap. Would not take afternoon nap but when it comes to bath time he became fussy and had to be comforted to sleep. Mom fed while he naped and Ms Lan gave him a bath later. Took another nap early evening while mom nursed and then played while mom and dad had dinner (did not enjoy). Finally went to bed at 8:15 and had 2 dreamfeeds at 9:15 and 11:30 but did not eat much.

Slept well after 11pm dreamfeed. At 4 mom heard Boom poop and toss and turn, kicking so decided to change diaper for him although he was still sleeping. Unluckily he woke up. Mom could have rocked him to sleep but decided to nurse because he did not eat much yesterday. After eating he slept till 6:30 and pooped again. Daddy changed diapers and played with him for an hour. Mommy nursed then Ms Lan played with him and comforted to sleep at 8:30. Had a good day with regular feeds and náp (1 morning, 1 noon, 1 catnap before bath, 1 catnap after dinner). Cluster feed a bit in the evening at 5, 6 (cat nap afterwards), 7:30. Woke up crying at 10:30 asking for food. So had last feed at 10:30.

4th night in a row Boom slept through the night. Last night didn't eat from 11pm till 6:45AM. Woke up smiling and didn't ask for food. Mommy was sleepless from 4AM because Boom was tossing and turning and thought he might wake up. Also trying to listen if he has pooped. But he kept on sleeping. When he woke up, found out he has a big poop. Felt so bad. Don't know how long it has been there. And don't know whether to change him in the middle of the night or let him be.

This morning Boom had to go to the hospital for 2nd dose of Pentaxim 5-in-1 vaccination. So he only had short mini naps here and there. He refused to eat twice that mommy tried to feed in the hospital. Cried when injected but stop quickly and slept in daddy's arms, later transfered to the carseat stroller. 

Was fussy when we got home, daddy had to comfort before mommy can nurse. Took a good noon nap, woke up, played and nursed again. Was fussy asking mom to carry the whole time while he sucked his fingers. Refused to be massaged and cried during bath. Refused to nurse. Ms Lan was able to bottle feed him 70ml.

Took a short nap then played with daddy. Daddy had to come home from work early. Mom nursed again at 7 and then daddy comforted to sleep. Refused dreamfeed at 10. Finally agreed to eat at 11.

Fussy in the afternoon due to vaccination but was fine later in the evening.

This is the 3rd night Boom went without a nightfeed and coincidentally starting from when he turned 3 months. Last night Boom slept well from the 11PM dreamfeed. At 5:30 mom's breasts were so hard mom had to get up and pump. Mom heard Boom toss and turn and kick for an hour but still had his eyes closed. Finally heard him poop and opened his eyes so at 6 changed his diaper and fed him. He could have lasted longer because he was smiling and didn't seem hungry but mom didn't want him with a dirty diaper. He ate well and fell asleep on the bed next to mom and dad. Later dad moved him into the crib. His head is always sweating and wet every place he rest on. After an hour he got up and played happily in the crib. Continue playing with Ms Lan while mom and dad had breakfast. Ms Lan tried to bottle feed but he only took 20ml and was too sleepy. Was able to eat 30ml more after waking up.

Overall it was a good day. Boom ate as usual and took a few small naps. Miracle happened once when Boom lied in the crib and played and then fell asleep on his own. After bath and feed Boom fell asleep a bit and then woke up and played with mom and dad when he came home. Mom nurses Boom again and he slept at 7. Woke up again after more than an hour so daddy comforted and mom fed a little bit more for 5' and then he refused, wanting to sleep. Had another dreamfeed at 11 before calling it a night.

21/9: bizzare behaviour

Today grandma left for the airport and auntie My took a bus to Laos. Since turning 3 months, Boom's behaviour has changed completely.

He was a good boy yesterday but was bizzare. Only taking many super short naps and barely eating at all. He nursed many times (on mom's insistence) but only a few minutes at a time. The only high amound of intake was during 2 bottle feeds. 100ml in the morning by Ms Lan and grandma and 50ml in the afternoon when mommy had to go out. Other than that he nursed a bit more during 2 evening feeds.

Mom and dad decided not to feed him too many evening feeds but only one at 7:30 and 11:00. He woke up at 9:30 but daddy comforted back to sleep. 

Mommy is so worried that he is not getting enough to sleep but he is still peeing and pooping frequently as usual.

A miracle last night! Boom turned 3 months and slept through the night for the first time. Mom dreamfed Boom at 11:20 but he was still sleepy and refused. Mom let Boom sleep with mom until 12:30 and forced him to eat while sleeping. After that mom put Boom back into the crib and he slept happily. Mom heard him poop in the middle of the night but after waiting for awhile he still did not wake up so mom changed diaper for him and let him continue sleeping. He tossed and turned a lot so mom had to put her hand on his body. Maybe he pooped a bit but did not wake up until the morning at 7 when mom heard him poop again. Dad changed diaper for Boom and mom ged. He was too interested in talking and smiling and not concentrate on eating. Played with grandparents for awhile and then took a short nap. Played with auntie My and grandparents again. Grandparents played with Boom today. Grandpa was able to get Boom to nap a few times. But he has to fly back to HCM in the afternoon. Will miss grandpa so much.

Today the whole family went to Mrs Huyen for lunch. Boom was very well behaved. Talked in the car. Slept there a bit and then ate and played. Fell asleep and slept on the way back as well as at home. This afternoon mom and dad played with Boom. Dad gave Boom a bath. Boom was a bit fussy in the evening even though daddy comforted. Refused the bottle so had to throw out the milk. Mom had to nurse Boom to sleep. Had a dreamfeed at 10.

Many very short naps on grandpa's arms. Good night sleep. Good interval between feeds.

 

19/9: Boom's party

Today is Boom's party and grandma's birthday.

Mommy so hot so woke up early. Boom also woke up 5 hours after dreamfeed so mom changed diaper twice (poop again right after changing diaper) for him and then fed. He was talking very serious with mommy. Did not cry. Went back to sleep after eating a few minutes.

This morning Boom woke up smiling. Played with grandma for awhile and mom nursed twice in the morning before Boom's party. Ms Lan look after Boom during the party and bottle fed 85ml. Boom only saw guests at the beginninf and ending of the party. The rest of the time he was sleeping and eating.

Everyone was busy preparing for Boom's party. Auntie My and dad and grandparents decorated last night. This morning everyone set up. My also sew the cloth for Boom because he outgrw it. Ms Lan even had to iron Boom's cloth which he wore for a short time and had otake off because it's uncomfortable and tight. It is the outfit grandma bought feom Italy.

Grandma gave Boom a bath in the morning and evening. Grandpa tried to photograph him and family potrait before and during the party but he wasn't smiling. Tried more photographs in the evening when he was happier.

Mom's friends Khanh & Phuong also came to visit.

Boom naped well throughout the day.1 short nap in the morning, long nap at noon, a short nap late afternoon. However he did not sleep well in the evening, sleeping for 20' each time and then woke up to feed because he was hungry (each time grandpa or dad had to comfort for some time). Finally settled at 9. Mom tried to dreamfed again at 11:20 but he was not hungry and would not eaf so had to let him sleep next to mommy until 12:30 to try again.

Conclusion: good daytime naps but not so good falling asleep for evening sleep.

Busy and too stimulating day for Boom. He hates it when it's too noisy and people touching or holding him.

Boom maintained a long 5h30 stretch again last night and did not even poop, only peed very little. Daddy talked to Boom when he woke up at 5 which was too stimulating and made Boom awake, could not fall asleep after nursing. Daddy had to comfort Boom to sleep. Boom slept until 8:30 so mom and dad get to sleep in. 

Today grandma and My went out all day and did not play with Boom except for a bit in the morning although they claim to visit Boom and are here for only a few days. 

Today only mom and Boom stay at home with Ms Lan. Boom was quite good, drank 100ml from the bottle, had a short nap in the morning, a longer nap at noon and another short nap before bath time. Mom nursed Boom twice after bath and then daddy took care of Boom while mom went to Phuong Dong's wedding. Boom slept on and off and did not ask for food until Mom came home to feed. Fell asleep after nursing. Had another dreamfeed at 11:30.

These days sometimes 1 breast would stl be full so mom had to nurse twice in a row instead of taking equal turns like before.

Boom did well again last night. Able to sleep more than 10 hours and ate 5h30 from last dreamfeed. He didn't wake up but mom heard him poop and also kicking the crib. He cried a bit with eyes still closed. Mom changed diapers and fed him. Ate for awhile and continued sleeping, even smiling happily in his sleep. 

Woke up at 7:15 (almost the same every day) to play with daddy anf change diapers. Did not want to eat, only interested in licking his hands. Ms Lan bottle fed him 70ml and he fell asleep a bit but woke up due to the construction. Did not sleep again until noon after mom fed twice. 

During noon nap, woke up once and Ms Lan had to clmfort to sleep. Did not sleep again in the afternoon except for during a very long nursing session at 3. Split up a bit but was still smiling. Mom had to put in the infant chair to digest the milk before bath time. Did not sleep after eating. Grandma arrived, played a but and then daddy comfort to sleep. Woke up hungry at 8:30 and had dreamfeed at 11:30.

Last night was wonderful! Boom slept continuously for 10 hours, only having 3 dreamfeeds in between. And he had the longest stretch of 5h30 from last dreamfeed 11:30 until 5! He didn't really get up but lick his hands and seems hungry so mommy "rescued" him: change diapers and fed. He woke up and smiled broadly when mommy fetched him. He had a soaking wet heavy diaper but did not poop. He hasn't pooped since 6pm last night! Usually he poopes early evening and does not poop during dreamfeeds. Usually only poops again in the middle of the night and early morning and wakes up because of it. He only nursed for a few minutes and fell back asleep.

Today was a good day. Boom woke up and played and went for a walk with h Ms Lan before drinking 90ml from a bottle. Had a nap in the morning, woke up and play, ate and had a longer nap at noon. Woke up to eat, played and nap 30' before bath time. After bath, ate and llayed and daddy comforted to sleep. Only slept 45' and woke up to eat again. Was not fussy. Would not fall asleep nursing so played with mom and dad for awhile and then nursed again at 8:30 before falling asleep. When daddy put into the crib his eyes were still open but the quickly went back to sleep. Had a dreamfeed at 11.

Last night was terrible. Boom was sleeping soundly after hardly eating at 11:30 dreamfeed but then mom and dad argued loudly and woke him up. He wouldn't fall asleep for another 3.5 hours although mom nursed again 2 times (each time he fell asleep and woke up again) and daddy comforted a long time. He was quite fussy. Finally fell asleep till morning, ate breakfast at 7:15 and slept until 9 again. So the eating part was Boom's longest stretch without food (6 hours) but sleep was terrible. The last time Boom was up for a long time during the night was 30/8 when mommy had to feed twice and daddy comfort when he was awake 2 hours in the middle of the night but was not fussy.

Took good long naps during the day to make up for lack of night sleep so total sleep was still OK. Was fussy during and after bath time. Played for awhile after feeding and daddy came home to comfort Boom to sleep. Had a dreamfeed at 8:30 and 11:30 but did not eat much. Keep pulling out of the brrast letting milk spray out making a mess. 

Conclusion: terrible night sleep but good day time naps and intervals between feeds.

Last night Boom broke the record of longest night stretch of 5h30. Had dreamfeed at 10:30 and did not eat again until 4. Actually Boom did not cry or ask for food or poop but mom heard Boom woke up so decided to rescue him. He was smiling and so happy. However after eating he pooped and mom had to change diaper again and feed him again to fall asleep so it took an hour.

This morning he woke up early at 6:30 but was still sleepy (open and then close his eyes) for 15'. Played with daddy a bit and mommy fed. Today Daddy went to Phuong Dong's engagement and mom went to her friend's wedding so she fed Boom again before leaving. Boom stayed with Ms Lan and slept for 1 hour and only drank 20ml from the bottle.

Mom went home and fed Boom because her breast was engorged. Was so tired so let him lay next to mom to play (he was licking hands the whole time but not sleeping and then got irritated). Had to feed him again after 1.5 hour for him to sleep. Mom slept next to him because of the construction next door sometimes startling him. Mom could only doze off on and off. boom woke up after 1 hour due to the noise but mommy comfort and let him sleep a little bit more on her chest. He slept very soundly, didn't even want to bath.

After bath, ate very little. Wants to talk and then poop. Daddy came home and took awhile to comfort him to sleep. Mommy's so tired today, maybe mommy's sick. Boom woke up for food at 7:30, had another dreamfeed at 11:30 almost 4 hours later because mommy overslept. Barely ate because he was so sleepy.

Today is Sunday so mom and dad stay at home with Boom. There is no giup viec.

First half of last night was not good. Boom woke up 2.5 hours from last feed because of a poop. When mommy fetch him, he was not crying but talking in a very unhappy tone as if complaining about the poop. After diaper change and feeding he slept until the morning. Woke up kicking and played by himself for half an hour before daddy fetched him.

Today daddy was able to bottle feed him 40ml only. He took a short nap in the morning and a long 2 hour nap at noon and a very short nap in the afternoon.

Mom and dad took Boom for a walk downstairs but he was only interested in licking his fingers the whole time. 

Was fussy in the evening after bath, only ate for 5' and fell asleep. Woke up 30' later and only slept after 2 hours and 2 feeds. Had a dreamfeed at 10:30.

Last night wasn't good. Boom woke up 3 hours after dreamfeed so mommy had to feed. Pooped twice. Actually he woke up and made noises and when mommy came to rescue he was so happy and smiled brightly. Such an angel.

However, he woke up again after 2 hours at 4:30. Daddy had to comfort him and bring him to bed. Slept for another 2 hours, woke up, played by himself and mommy fed after 30'. Mom and dad took pictures for Boom. Ms Lan took Boom for a walk and came back for a short nap. Woke up shortly and took a bottle for only 70ml with Ms Lan and daddy taking turns. Made loud angry hungry sounds while drinking.

Grandpa visited. He flew to Hanoi for a few days for a business trip. Grandpa took some more pictures. Mommy fed. Boom played for awhile then Ms Lan comforted to sleep while mom and dad and grandpa had lunch.

Took a long nap but woke up twice and had to be comforted by daddy back to sleep. Woke up, played, ate, played and took a bath. Ate again and took sometime to get back to sleep. Took a short nap and woke up again. Played, ate, played happily. Fussy towards the end for an hour and cried loudly. Finally fell asleep and mommy dreamfed right away. Had another dreamfeed at 11:30 (he actually cried to be fed this time).

Note:

Long nap at noon but long periods of being awake for 2-3 hours so total sleep not good.

Can play happily lying on the bed for up to 30'

When tired: worried look, "huh huh huh" sound and start to get irritated, not smiling anymore

Woke up 3 hours after last dreamfeed so mom had to feed. Fell back asleep. Woke up early as usual and played with daddy then took a short nap. Became too tired and refused mommy's breast. So Ms Lan had to comfort to sleep and bottle feed 120ml. 

Only had a short nap mid morning and at noon. Did not nap before bath time although he was tired so became overtirred and refused to eat. Mom comforted a bit and fell asleep. Woke up crying on the dot at the time he was supposed to eat (3 hours from last feed). Mom nursed and he fell asleep. Woke up crying again after 2h30 for food. Had another dreamfeed at 11:30. 

Note:

Usually not hungry in the morning but became sleepy after awake for awhile so its best to let him nap before feeding breakfast.

Was able to grab and put toy in his mouth for the first time.

Very sensitive to sound. Will get started if there is a sudden sound (phone ringing, opening package...)

When he is tired and offered the breast, he will suck a bit and start crying = needs a nap.

Never cried or seem hungry. Mom had to feed him before he even requests food.

Improved total sleep time but overall this "wonder week" sleeps less than before. Woke up too early in the morning and dad had to comfort back to sleep for another hour. Had more naps during the day, even had a short nap before bath but difficulty falling at sleep at night. Took 2 hours to fall asleep on and off and 2 feedings. When comforting him, he wouldn't let mom sit down and had to stand up carrying him the whole time. Only daddy can comfort him sitting down.

Was able to stay in parents' bedroom during the day. Even lied on the bed and played with some interference by mommy for 30-60' without needing to pick up.

Could not last more than 3 hours between feed at night although mommy dreamfed a few times before midnight.

Spent more time nursing on average. Somehow every morning when he wakes up he is not hungry. He can play for 1-2 hours and when mommy fed he only eata 5' and become fussy. Had to comfort him for awhile before continuing or bottle feeding. Maybe because the flow of mommy's breast is too fast in the morning? Was able to bottle feed 70ml. So his long stretch is early morning but with this stretch is early wake up and play, not continuous sleep! 

Usually when he wakes up he doesn't cry but plays by himself for awhile and make loud sucking noises. When rescued by mom or dad he would smile brightly.

Last night was good. Boom ate 4.5 hours from last dream feed. He didn't poop, just lick his hands and made noises. Went back to sleep after feeding and woke up past 6.

Daddy played with Boom until he was sleepy again. Mom fed him at 7:30 and he slept but woke up right after finishing eating. Ms Lan took him for a walk, brought him back to his room (construction's been going on for 1 month) and was able to bottle feed 100ml. He was falling asleep but woke up due to construction noise and would not sleep again. Mom played with him all morning and fed him at 11 and tried to get him to sleep. Finally Ms Lan got him to sleep and stayed with him while mom had lunch and napped.

He slept well for 1.5 hours, mom fed while he continued sleeping. However he did not sleep after that so had to give him a bath. Usually he would nap for 30' before bath time.

Fed and fell asleep after bath. Slept for 1 hour and woke up crying. Mommy had to comfort but luckily dad came home to comfort Boom to sleep. Mom fed when he was drowsy. Fell asleep easily.

Notes:

Nowadays when hungry Boom doesn't root but only lick his hands. 

He only cries when very hungry or before falling asleep.

He would wake up from a nap early if he is about to poop.

Nowadays he start to develop a eating pattern that is flexible by 30': 12AM, 4AM, 7AM, 9AM, 11:30AM, 2PM, 4:30PM, 7PM, 9:30PM so it is much easier.

Most days he goes to bed at 7, 8PM and slept almost continuously till mornig except for waking to feed. 

These past few days he hasn't napped much in the morning or afternoon but has a longer nap at noon.

Quite OK sleep. Mom gave another dreamfeed at almost 1 and then Boom slept well. Mom heard him poop so change diaper and fed at 5:30 although he was still sleeping. He would not sleep again so daddy played with him until 7 and put him into the crib to fall asleep on his own. Daddy said "hellp Boom" when he didn't see and made him startle.

This morning only drank 70ml from the bottle. Did not nap much. Took longer for mom to get him to nap than the actual nap. At noon Ms Lan had to lie next to him in order to get him to nap for an hour. After feed Mom got Boom to nap 30' before bath. After bath had 2 meals 1 hour in betwen because he was sleepy but still hungry. In the middle of the feed cried out loud, daddy put to sleep. Woke up at 8 demanding to be fed and had dreamfeed at 11. 

Some highlights:

- miracle twice (last night and this morning): fell asleep on his own

- Mom read news, turn on music, butterflies books or let him play with mirror books, toys that jiggle

- daddy talks to Boom and do exercises

- carry him around thr house to look at thinfs

- say hello and goodnight to Mr Sun

- he can play independently on the rocking chair or playmat, even talking, laughing, batting and kicking at things that make noises, tummy time on mom's body to practice muscles

- not so good at touching or grabbing things

- talk "huh" aaa grrr eeee hoho uuu and panting and sigh. Sometimes frowning

- arms and legs moving around

- still licks hand all the time

- curious about things around him

- smiles at mom all the time

Last night was an improvement compared to 2 previous but not as good as before. Mommy tried hard to get up at 12:30 to dreamfeed so Boom can sleep a longer stretch. Heard Boom poop so had to change diaper and feed at 4:30 (4 hour stretch). Boom got up at 7. Daddy played with Boom and then bottle fed at 8. Managed a little with Advent bottle. Ms Lan continued with Pigeon bottle. Overall a success with 135ml. 

Good day. Moved to nursery again. Struggled to get naps down in the morning. But napped an hour at noon. ms Lan watched Boom and played with him while mommy slept until Boom became hungry. Mommy fed and Boom slept on the nursing pillow on his side. Mom let Boom nap there for an hour while mom read online because he sleeps too much on his back.

Had a bath, fed, fell asleep but wokr again. Took awhile for mom and dad to get him to sleep so mom and dad can have dinner. Woke up to play with daddy and eat. Mommy is mad at daddy for playing rough games with Boom and made him cry. Daddy had to comfort Boom for awhile because he did not fall back asleep after nursing. Dad swaddled him and left him on the crib. He struggled for a few minutes and fell asleep. Had a dreamfeed at almost 10.

Conclusion: 

- improvement in bottle feeding

- one of those rare times he fell asleep on his own in the crib

- very good interval betwen feeds and quality feeds

- he is adorable even when fighting sleep because he smiles and laughs all the time

Last night sleep was also bad but better than the day before. Boom made noises wanting to eat every 3 hours. Whatever happened to the 4-5 hour stretch? Are we backtracking or is this just a growth spurt. However, mom read something about "wonder week" so maybe Boom is experiencing this?

This morning daddy played with Boom, took him downstairs for a walk and bottle fed him successfully 90ml. But it was not enough for him so mommy had to breastfeed afterwards. After that he ate every 2.5 hours, taking a nap in between. Daddy took care of Boom because it is Sunday so mommy was able to take a 1 hour nap in the morning.

No giup viec today so mommy had to do the laundry, hang clothes, throw the trash. Mom and dad ate microwave precooked food by Ms Lan.

Boom is always smiling even when pooping, feeding or playing or when daddy is trying to comfort to sleep.

Boom also napped well in the afternoon. However after 3PM feed he wouldn't sleep so dad gave a bath and mom fed again. Only fell asleep eating and woke up again. Dad tried to comfort to sleep while mom took a shower but took a long time. Finally napped while mom and dad had dinner but woke again. Mom fed again and fell asleep but woke again. Mom and dad took turns comforting while dad showered. Finally fell asleep soundly past 8. Had dreamfeed at 10z
