28/2/2017: no more antibiotics, grandparents visit

Last dose of antibiotics in the morning. Mom and Boom overslept. Mom late for work again. 

Boom cried in the morning on and off but was happier in the afternoon. Even drank a whole carton of milk.

Grandparents stopped by overnight on their way from Hoa Binh to Ha Tinh.

Was very happy when grandma Ly picked Boom up from school. Had fun with grandparents. 

Ate a little. Did not eat mich rice but ate cheese, dessert, caramel, bread, goat milk. Pooped twice in a row. A gigantic poop.

Went to bed on time. 

27/2/2017: back to school

Woke up very late. Mom had to leave for work.

Boom returned to school although he has 1.5 days of antibiotics left. Cried a lot upon mentioning going to school and cried at school. Got better after lunch and nap. Was happier in the afternoon.

In the evening stayed home with mommy while daddy has some meeting. Was happy. Ate well. Didn't cry when taking medicine or ear and nose drops. However, was dancing on the couch and fell when mom answered the phone. Luckily he was fine but mom was scared to dead when for just 1 second of turning her back, he was already faced down on the floor. Mom scolded him.

Went to bed late because daddy returned late to give Boom a bath. Drank some goat milk.

26/2/2017: ate well but cough out everything

Slept in until 9:30. Slept for 13.5 hours! Ate and played well. Was accepting to take medicine but still not happy. 

Pooped a lot. Knows to get into the toilet so parents can wash his ass. The Boom's potty is working very well. Very smart. Says everything in both Vietnamese and English. 

Went to bed early but then woke up because of pooping and parents cleaning his ass. Then played and coughed a bit but spit out everything he ate. It was the worst spit up ever, full of solid and smelly. Mom had to clean up, change bedsheets, took a shower, do laundry. Daddy rocked Boom to sleep. Finally fell asleep very late at 10:30. Poor boy. 

Recently he smiles a lot. Very mischievous. Has a beautiful smile.

Start to like brushing teeth. Even ask to brush teeth and cut fingernails.

25/2/2017: still runny nose, visit another doctor

Saturday at home with parents. Slept until 8:30. Still nursed a lot at night. Ate pasta for breakfast.

Was obsessed with polishing shoes. Very happy to see the daughter of Ms Nguyet come and play. Running around talking and asking her to join him. Managed to eat some noodles for lunch. 

Only took a 45' nap. Went to see a new doctor. Behaved on the way. It was very crowded. Boom not yet recovered. Had to continue with antibiotics for another 3 days.

Ate dinner at home. Took bath with daddy and went to sleep. Nursed for 1 hour.

24/2/2017: last day of medicine

Mom went to work in the morning. Boom stayed home with daddy, ate a bit and went to supermarket. Boom really enjoys going to supermarket.

Fell and hit his face twice.

Boom only had to take medicine this morning and is finished. Seems healthier but still had runny nose (clear, not green anymore).

Likes to practice walking in flip flops or adult slippers. 

Managed to eat better. Took a late nap so went to bed late at 9:30. Played in the dark and fell asleep by himself.

Boom is a happy boy. Very mischievous and clever. Likes to make fun and jokes and play pranks. Clingy to mommy and daddy. Always calls mommy and daddy. Can speak in both VNmese and English for each ửod. Understands and can say many simple words. Points to the clock on the wall. Say "mommy eating". Repeats what adults say. 

23/2/2017: getting better

Getting better. Managed to eat a little, especially eggs and strawberries. Has been able to sleep well even when sick. Especially naps. 

Mom had to work in the morning so mom and dad took turns taking care of Boom. Boom went to the supermarket with daddy and fell asleep in the stroller. Continued sleeping in the stroller even at home for 2.5 hours.

Pooped a lot of liquid due to antibiotics. Understands he had to take medicine but still protests and hates it. 

Went to bed on time with daddy rocking. Has been getting into a routine with daddy opening loud love songs and singing and rocking Boom. Boom loves it. 

Also loves taking bath with daddy and relaxing afterwards on the bed with mommy. Knows when daddy takes of clothes and would take off his own clothes and climb into the bathtube. 

Protests NO when parents brush teeth but then would join in the fun.

Goes for daily walk around Royal with mommy. 

- knows to go into the bathroom to clean ass after pooping

- loves getting cars to wash ass, eat, drink medicine but not himself 

- likes crawling around the house

- getting used to Ms Nguyet

- still mostly plays with oto. Knows how to drive the supercar. Wants mom and dad to drive him around. 

22/2/2017: still sick

This time he coughs a lot but didn't pit up on the bed. However last night he spit up a little bit.

Been sleeping 12-13 hours at night but nursed frequently.

Daddy went to work in the morning. Mommy stayed home. Boom pooped. New part time housekeeper came to talk. Mommy managed to do a bit of house work 

Did not eat much, only a few sips of milk and some crumbs and 1/2 à strawberry.

Pooped wet loose due to antibiotics many times.

Took a good nap. Happy in the afternoon. Ate a bit. Getting used to Ms Nguyet new part time housekeeper but she is leaving in a few days.

Went to

The supermarket with mommy. Was leading the way happily. Cried the whole way home when mommy did not let him but toy car at the baby store.

Taking medicine still a struggle. 

Did not fall asleep at 8. Played in bed with mommy, was really happy and smiley and then fell asleep late at 9:30

Weather hot these days. 

- So clingy to mommy. Kept coming to hold mommy's hands to play with him that mommy cannot even finish eating. Even went in to look at mommy and smiled when mommy taking a shower

- has great sense of direction, knows exactly what he wants 

- Car addiction since 1 month ago

- Can say mommy and daddy since 2 weeks now

- doesn't pee much

- sometimes crawl around like a baby

- sometimes stop and did not say anything for a few minutes

- when mommy is busy with the phone, he would come to

Put the phone away and pulled mommy's hand to join him

To play 

- enjoys playing toy cars in the megablock

And lego set. Can put together different car combinations. 

21/2017: half way through

Took 5 rounds of medicine. Half way done. Every round consists of another 3 rounds: pre, after and nose, ear drops. It's a real struggle and Boom is so scared.

Slept well but nursed a lot. Still not eat anything. Tired and fussy. Likes to play oto especially the railroad set up. Mom bought soccer and golf toys but Boom not seem interested. 

Mom stayed home in the morning but went to work in the afternoon. Daddy stayed with Boom. Mom and dad had a fight at noon. Boom pulled his stroller out of the house to try to follow daddy.

Part time housekeeper Ms Nguyet said she'll start another job next week. So there will be no housekeeper for 1 week. This lady cooks well but is not hardworking or professional. The house is not clean.

- hates when he has something dirty or sticking to his feet. He's too clean. Always eww...

- cannot cut fingernails when he is sleeping

20/2/2017: sick day at home

A bit fussy and nursed all night. Fussy in the morning.

Mom had to stay home to take care of B. Daddy had to go for site inspection. Mom exhausted the whole day. However, sometimes Boom was happy. Only threw tantrums a few times. Spilled coke on the newly cleaned carpet. Spilled yogurt on the newly cleaned sofa. Dropped toy into toilet while washing bum. The most difficult part was giving Boom medicine with the help of Ms Nguyet. Mom cleaned Boom's nose with nasal spray. Boom's nose seemed better. Nursed to sleep and took 2 hours nap.

Mom and Boom went for a walk around Royal city and bought some groceries. Daddy came home and helped with giving Boom food and medicine. Did not eat much. Mostly nursed. 

- had to play pretend games letting cars eat. Boom enjoys this game and even bought stuffed animals and pillows to join.

- spilled water and even called mommy "đổ" as if very innocent

- got crayons on his legs and was very annoyed, demanding that mommy wipe the marks away

- understands everything. Suffered but made an wffort when daddy explained about drinking medicine

- watched a lot of TV but not really enjoying, just to pass the time away

- survived 3 out of 10

Times he had to get medicine this time

19/2/2017: very sick, visit hospital, 3rd time ear infection

Got worsed. Fussy. Did not eat anything.

Went to the doctor at Hong Ngoc hospital. Terrible experience as Boom had to get an xray and nội soi cried a lot. Doctor said it's bad and had to get antibiotics.

Parents struggled to get Boom so much medicine. Poor him. Suffered a lot. 

Bt was happier after nose cleaning at the hospital and after medicine in the evening.

18/2/2017: sick again

Sick again. Fever, cough and runny nose. Somehow Boom always manages to get sick at weekends, at least once per week.

Slept well the first 2 hours, snoring. Then start to get fussy, could not breathe. Mommy had to rub his back and let him face down on a high pillow. Then daddy had to rock.

Woke up early at 7. Had tons and tons of green runny nose. Did not eat the whole day, only nursed. Played at home and went to megamall with parents. Did not visit Bin the whole day. Sometimes fussy. Took a good noon nap. 

Ms Tuong came home in the afternoon. Boom was very happy. Played with Ms Tuong. Took some medicine for cold and runny nose. Drank a bit milk by syringe. 

17/2/2017: revisit FFS

Asked specia permission to attend Vani FFS for one day. Boom cried during drop off but was fine/ happy again. 

Did not eat much even in the evening. Start coughing and having a runny nose. Mommy so worried that Boom will be sick again.

Mom returned home early so bought flowers and tidied up and took shower. Boom was very happy to see mommy.

15-16/2/2017: got better at school

Mom and dad still had to manage without Ms Tuong. Boom still cries a alot during drop off but got better during the day. Today even smiled and said good bye to teachers. Teachers say he eats and naps well at school.

Coughed a bit and seemed tired today. Fell asleep for 30' after returning from school so went to bed late.

Can play by himself. Goes to Bin's everyday but does not always eat well. 

Can pronounce better now. Can say mommy and daddy instead of didi and mimi.

14/2/2017: boring Valentines, late bedtime

Boring Valentines. Daddy didn't give mommy anything.

All family woke up late. Mom and dad brought Boom to school. Boom cried loudly. Parents so worried that mom had to enquire about leaving this school to return to FFS. Teacher said Boom is doing better. Eats and naps well. Says "no no no" and holds out his hand.

Daddy picked Boom up. Boom behaved. Ate well at home. Did not eat anything at Bin's. Went to bed early at 8:30 but was playing and did not fall asleep until 9:45pm. 

13/2/2017: new week at school (8th day at ASG)

Woke up late for school. Slept for almost 12 hours. Still nursed all night.

Cried on and off at school. Mommy worried. Daddy wanted Boom to return to FFS. But mommy is afraid Boom will be stressed again.

Mommy visited Ms Tuong in the hospital during lunch break but frustrated that she gave the wrong address.

Teacher said Boom is a little bit better. But the teachers didn't change Boom's diaper properly. Boom came home with a very big diaper and poop still sticking.

Was fussy on the way home and at home. Ate well at Bin's. Brush teeth with parents. Took bath with daddy and went to sleep. Has a slight eye infection. Has been sleeping late at 9 recently instead of usual bedtime of 8pm. Still nursed a lot, 

12/2/2017: Sunday at home with parents

Woke up early at 7:30. Still nursed all night. Daddy took care of Boom for 1 hour.

Ate breakfast well with parents. Bin came

Over to play then went to Bin's for lunch. Ate soup and yogurt and milk dessert.

Fell asleep on the way home. Napped well.

Played with daddy then went downstairs to coffee shop to meet mom's friends. Bahaved. Went to shopping mall.

Ate dinner with parents then went to Bin's to eat. Ate well. 

Went home and ate dessert, took bath with daddy, brushed teeth by himself while parents also brushed teeth. Refused milk. Went to bed by daddy rocking. 

11/2/2017: ate well, woke up in middle of the night, hates changing diaper

Woke up at 4 and took an hour to get back to sleep. Daddy comforted Boom. Woke up at 9.

Ate cereal, played with mommy. Pooped. Mommy had to wipe because Boom refused to wash ass. Then went to Bin's and ate porridge. Played at the games arcade in the megamall, wouldn't want to go home.

Nursed to sleep for nap time.

Enjoyed playing cars because mommy set up the megabloks railroad. Ate rice at home. Went to Bin's and ate soup, vang suca Monte and yogurt. Cried loudly when mom changed diaper.

Went home to take bath with daddy, cleaned up toys, brush teeth and had a little milk. Daddy rocked to sleep but still had to nurse for 30' before falling asleepx 

10/2/2017: first day without Ms Tuong

Ms Tuong went to hospital today. Had to stay there. Was scared and not happy there.

Daddy gave Boom breakfast and brought Boom to school. Boom cried a lot clinging to daddy. However when daddy picked up Boom was happy. Took bath with daddy and ate well. Part time housekeeper cleaned and cooked. Mom came home late. Had dinner and played with Boom. Daddy managed to give Boom milk by playing game of giving milk to animals and toys. Boom enjoyed the game and competition. Still hates brushing teeth. Slept by listening to music and rocking with daddy. Mom took a shower. First day went well.

9/2/2017: stressed out

Obsessed with oto

Since Tet he has not been sick and active, eat well with parents so look better, big tummy

However recently he started new school and seems thinner again. Tummy small again

Still nursing all night

Unhappy and crying a lot

Almost never drink milk at home

Woke up at 6:15 crying, Ms T has to take care of Boom until school time. Seemed better at school today. However, it had been 1 week and he is still crying at school and at home, even when at Bin's house.

Mommy managed to hire part time housekeeper but they will not be able to take care of Boom so parents will have to. Tomorrow Ms Tuong will start treatment at hospital.

Boom is so funny, making jokes and fun. Sometimes standing still for a minute without saying anything as if thinking of the next prank.

Enjoys seeing daddy brush teeth or feeding for all toys and cars (he even feeds the car food) but refused to nrush his teeth or eat or drink milk.

8/2/2017: still crying

Mommy found some

Options for housekeeper.

Boom woke up early and walked happily to school. But still cried throughout the day. Mom so worried. Called the teachers and wrote emails to the school. Also asked teacher to stop potty training so not to create too much stress for Boom. He always cried when it's toilet time and pooped in his pants a few times since starting this school and not wearing diapers. Only napped for 45' today.

Was fine at home but a bit fussy at bedtime. Nursed a lot.

7/2/2017: woke up in the middle of the night

Wake up crying in the middle of the night at 4:45 for 2 hours. ms T had to help get B back to sleep at 7. Mom got a little more sleep but exhausted.

Daddy took B to school. Still not happy. 

Ms T's back pain got worse. She wanted to take time off for treatment. Parents so stressed, cramming to find ways to survive without a housekeeper. 

Mom tried putting chocolate to wean Boom from the breast but when B saw the dirty breast, he was so scared and disgusted that mom felt so bad. Poor little boy! Probably not right time yet.

Sometimes he plays funny: standing still and not saying anything. Or he'll make fun and walk backwards. Or roll around on the floor. Or crawl like a baby. 

Babies have to endure so much stress and changes:

- teething

- goodbye to loved ones

- new school

- bed time

- bottle

- weaning

- potty training

- being away from mommy

- food

- accidents

- learning new skills: walking... 

6/2/2017: terrible day for Boom

Boom woke up late again. Cried a lot on the way to school because he didn't see daddy leave the house with everyone and then mommy had to leave. It was the worst cry ever. 

Was not happy at school. Also cried during pick up. 

However, became happier at home and active again. Ate rice in the afternoon but did not eat much later in the evening.

Recent days, news surfaced about kids being beaten at kindergarten so mommy is very worried and stressed.

5/2/2017: visit Mr Xuong and Ms Hai

Family slept in until 10AM.

Boom ate well. These days he seems much better and ate better. Went to Bin's. Nowadays Boom really likes to visit Bin. Boom cried a lot when not offered to stay to eat. Finally returned to eat a lot of rice. Turns out that Boom assumes that coming to Bin's house is to eat. 

Went to megamall. Got stuck seeing the toys at Bibomart. Mom

Had to buy some toy cars for Boom. It was really cheap.

Took a late nap. Went to Mr Xuong and Ms Hai's house. Boom behaved very well. On the way home he even showed parents that his shoes hurt. 

Ate dinner. Bin came to visit. Boom pooped and automatically went to the toilet to wash ass. Normally he hates washing ass. Seems like he is ashamed when there are other people and do not want them to know he pooped. 

Managed to drink a little bit milk when mommy said she'll give to Bin. Boom was afraid and said no.

Ma Tuong had to rock to sleep. Boom was still awake and nursed for awhile before falling asleep.

4/2/2017: grandparents left for Saigon

Woke up late. Grandparents left for SG. Boom cried. Went home and called "ong". Poor Boom now has to face so many good byes, only seeing grandparents from time to time.

Feeding milk with syringe not working anymore. Drinks milk by himself but very little. 

Boom stayed home with daddy in the afternoon while mom took Ms Tuong for back pain check up. Parents really worried if Ms Tuong will have to stop working here for back treatment. Still uncertain.

Boom enjoys reading books and playing with stuffed animals, putting them to sleep and pretending to sleep. Understands everything. 

Went to bed early at 8:30. Normal

Routine resumes. But nursed a lot. 

3/2/2017: 2nd day at school, host dinner for TQT family

Went to school late again. Seemed OK at the new school because there are many car toys. Fell asleep for naps by himself. Was able to eat a little. Ms Tuong and grandma usually sneaks out. 

Loves going to Bin's house. Manages to eat there but would leave aruptly without saying bye.

Very smart. Knows everything.

TQT family came for dinner and karaoke. Boom had fun. Managed to eat little. Nowadays family is focused on getting Boom to eat. Sometimes get jealous with cousins. Take mommy's hands going around the apartment. Changed shoes frequently. Pointed to he bedroom and said "ngủ" 3 times but would not sleep. Maybe he was sleepy. Went to bed immediately after people left. 

2/2/2017: mùng 6 Tết start new school

Boom went to bed late so woke up late for new school. Grandparents and Ms Tuong took Boom to school. Boom enjoyed playing with new toys but cried a bit when Ms T left. Fell asleep by himself and was happier in the afternoon. Mom was very worried. Boom's class has a new friend called Mimi so made Boom mistaken with mimi being there all the time. The teachers removed diaper and Boom peed into his pants. 

Family hosted dinner with cousins Finn and Mun's family. Grandparents opened Youtube for Boom to watch after 2 weeks of weaning. Hope that Boom will not get addicted again. Finn was very well

Behaved. Mun is only 2 months older than Boom but very mature. Also sat in the high chair most of the time and played by herself. Boom did not play with cousins, get jealous when family held them or let them play with his toys. Pulled at mommy's breast to nurse all the time.

Very hyper after guests left. But fell asleep when Ms T rocked to sleep. Did not drink milk. Hasn't drank milk since before Tet.

1/2/2017: mùng 5 Tết phố cổ

Spend the day at home: walking around, playing in the playground, went to megamall. Boom is very bossy, asking adults to go exactly his way. Loves walking around. Wants adult to climb up the swing and slide with him.

Ate little. Nap little. Asked Ms T to take all around Royal city.

Went to old quarter with Mina and Bin. Boom weny up

And down escalator of Trang Tien Plaza and kept pointing to go his way.

Went on trolley ride. It was so crowded and noisy today.

Had dinner at restaurant. Mommy couldn't handle Boom by himself.

Sleepy but then active again at home. Took bath with daddy. Pretend to sleep (lie down, snore, close eyes but was laughing). Grandparents returned from mounteain trip. Played again. Kept refusing to sleep. Finally daddy put B to sleep at 10:30. Very smart. Understands everything.
