31/1/2017: mùng 4 Tết @ Ecopark

Boom went to visit Voi's family in Ecopark. Also had a lot of fun playing indoors and walking around. Boom loves outdoors and challenging roads  Was not afraid at all. Could walk very long distance if he enjoys it. But always proactive in leading the way where he wants to go. Turns out he stepped on a poop in Mai Chau the other day. Voi gave him and old bicycle. 

Fell asleep on the way back. Continued sleeping at home but only a short while. Mommy had to play with Boom. He is starting to like eating nuts and sweets. Loves throwing trash into the dustbin. 

Loves reading books. Hand books to mom and dad to read to him. Was very attentive as if he understands. Even made facial expressions and comments (looking worried or asking  questions).

Daddy took Boom for a walk. Boom knows exactly what he wants and was leading the way to the supermarket and megamall. Knows every detail and directions. These days he doesn't like the Lamborgini anymore, even afraid when mommy turned the engine on.

Took a bath with daddy, couldn't wait to get into the tub.

Ms Tuong returned. Boom was very happy. Whole family went downstairs for dinner at Thai Express. Boom spent time walking around the supermarket. Very dangerous that he now knows to ask for toys and cars at the toys section. Had to distract him to get out. 

Refused to drink milk. Would drink other drinks but not milk. 

Nursed to sleep. Went to sleep early at 8. This is his earliest bedtime since Tet. During the holidays he has been sleeing late like 9:30, 10 or even 11. 

Daddy has been active in feeding, bathing and playing with Boom because he realizes we cannot rely on nanny and Boom is better off with parents direct care and nurturing. Mommy is happy about this. 

30/1/2017: mùng 3 Tết in HN, super long nap

First full day back in HN. Grandparents Minh Hang went to Tay Bac. Ms Tuong has not yet returned. Only parents with Boom so had to take turns taking care of Boom and doing housework. Mom did 6 loads of laundry in total. The house had new trees and cay dao apricot grandma bought.

Went to Bin Ben's for lunch. Boom behaved and had fun. Played with Bin Ben and played cars by himself. Was wonderful. Changed a lot in the past few days. 

Fell asleep on the car ride home. Went home and napped for more than 4 hours. Woke up, took a bath with daddy (Boom really likes the bath tube) and went to Mrs Huyen for dinner. Boom loves playing with the dogs and feeding the cat. However mommy not very happy because Mrs Huyen keep comparing Boom with other babies. 

Went home to sleep but couldn't sleep until 11PM because he has to poop. These days he is afraid of washing ass, not like before. Wonder what went wrong. 

24/1/2017: last day at Vani FFS

Boom's last day at FFS. In the afternoon Boom was really sad. Not feeling well. Maybe because he knows? 

Threw up at Bin's house. Food poisoning? 

Parents worried because he had to travel the next day. Had a slight fever in the evening.

Mommy busy packing and preparing for Tet 5 day trip. Very tiring.

29/1/2017: mùng 2 back to Hanoi

Boom woke up early, still nursed all night. Immediately pointed outside. Daddy took Boom to the rice field. Boom and daddy had a really good time.

Ate breakfast with view of the rice field. Daddy fed Boom. Boom ate well. Walked around a bit then drove home. Boom sat in the car seat and slept.

Had to spend 2 hours in Hoa Binh waiting for grandma Ly. Boom ate a bit and played outside. Grandma was mad at us for leaving. Boom was really used to grandma and cousins and aunts and uncles there and had fun but it was restrictive and had no place to play. 

Boom sat in the car seat for almost an hour reading books with mommy then nursed to sleep. This whole 5 days 4 nights trip Boom napped during evey car ride. Mummy felt so lucky. Or else it would be impossible to keep him still for 2 hours. Boom hasn't watched Youtube for 2 weeks.

Went back to Royal City to see grandpa Minh and grandma Hang. Was happy. Took a bath with daddy. Went to the city center for dinner at Luc Thuy restaurant with mr Minh Lan and Binh Huyen's family. Boom was very active and happy, running around but did not eat much. Also dance to the music. 

Family went for a short walk around the lake. Boom was always running and climbing up stairs and walking on high pavements. He loves challenges.

Went home and daddy rocked Boom to sleep at 10.

These past few days Boom had changed a lot. He is more mature and independent (was able to play by himself sometimes), walk and run bettwr, more active, eat better and seemed happier. Daddy said because parents spend more time with Boom and take care of Boom so he is a lot better. Also when he is at school, he doesn't eat much. 

Understands words in both VNmese and English. Start to use "ơi" instead of "đây" like "Mimi ơi"

28/1/2017: mung 1 Tet in Mai Chau

Woke up and pooped. Went to Mrs Hong and Mrs Tam's. Managed to eat a little. 

Grandparents refused to go to Mai Chau so went with Mrs Hong and cousins instead. Grandma Ly was a bit mad. Boom slept on the way.

Fussy while there and mom had to take around in the hot sun. Saw a baby girl and kept crying to go to her. As if he got "bùa ngải" from her.

The bungalow was decent but with so few people. Went on a golf cart tour of 7 villages. Boom really enjoyed looking at animals. He was not afraid at all. Also saw the villagers celebrate Tet. Fell asleep for 30' during the ride.

Went home, took a shower (did not enjoy). Had been scared of taking showers. had dinner (fed himself some rice), went for a walk in the village (it was dark) and went home to play a little and nursed to sleep. Went to bed at 9:30 again. Oberall it was a good experience for Boom.

27/1/2017: 30 Tet in Hoa Binh

Just a regular day in Hoa Binh. Not much going on. Boom enjoyed walking around but sometimes fussy.   

Fell asleep at noon without having lunch.

Pooped without mommy knowing. 

Visited Mr Tho with grandparents. Behaved well when parents were not there. Went to Mrs Tam for hotpot. Played with the dog. Knows relatives by name. Enjoys walking around. 

Managed to eat a little. But no milk.

Went to bed at 9:30

Again. Did not do anything special for New Year's eve.

26/1/2017: 29 Tết in Hoa Binh

Was fussy and nursed all night. Maybe he was hungry. Woke up late at 9.

Ate well during breakfast, had pho. Went out to take pictures and played a bit more at the playhouse.

Family checkout and drove to Hoa Binh. Grandparents returned to Hanoi. Luckily Boom fell asleep the whole way. 

Had a lot of fun in Hoa Binh, ate well with the whole family. Remember everyone's name. Likes to walk around handing things to people. Laughed and dance. Even went for a walk with daddy. Unfortunately the family had already made banh chung.

Did not drink milk but the yakult instead. Still nursed a lot. 

Nursed to sleep at 9:30. Weather was nice, a bit cool but not cold. 

25/1/2017: Quảng Con (28 Tết)

First day of Tet holiday. Boom woke up at 5. So hang out and went to but pastry with Ms Tuong. Mom slept a bit more. Whole family busy preparing to leave at 8AM. Ms Tuong ve que and family to Quang Con. Grandparents Minh Hang already arrived there. Luckily Boom napped the whole way there.

Boom had a lot of fun in Quang Con, walking around looking at trees and animals. Not afraid at all, even mimic the sound of animals. Posing for Mr Minh to take pictures.

Went to FLC for overnight stay so did not have to drive too long. Took a nap. Had fun at the children's play house. It was really good and had a lot of toys and games. Boom was so hungry so ate a lot of rice and noodles during dinner at the hotel. 

Nursed to sleep at 9:30. Mommy so tired so fell asleep too.

23/1/2017: dinner at 4p's with grandparents

Cough and spit up all dinner into the bed at midnight. Mom had to change bedsheets. Boom cried and had to be nursed back to sleep. 

Woke up late again. Nursed all the time starting 3:30.

Grandma took Boom to school. Went back early to get ready and had dinner at Bin's. Bin really looked forward to Boom visiting.

All family went to city center to have dinner at 4ps with grandparents Hang Minh. Managed no youtube on the way but had to constantly distract. Had to nurse a little. Boom managed to eat a little and had fun. Walked to Hilton hotel to collect things. Boom really enjoyed the hotel, walking to the room, carrying stuff and playing with grandparents. Was a bit fussy on the way home but did not nurse

Drank a bit milk and went to bed at 10:15, way past normal

Bedtime.

22/1/2017: grandma Hang visit for Tet

Boom slept until 10AM. Nursed all night. Mommy exhausted. Went to Bin's but did not eat. Mom and dad went downstairs for lunch.

Boom refused to nap. Played all afternoon while mommy cleaned the house. Finally fell asleep while grocery shopping with Ms Tuong. Had a lot of fun with grandma. Managed to eat a bit. But milk time was a struggle. Boom kept nursing with mom. Daddy had to take over. Boom so addicted to nursing.

Boom also refused to sleep. Daddy had to hold and sing loudly. Boom cried a lot then fell asleep. 

Only 2 days to go till Tet. Still so much to prepare. House cleaning only done partially but at least making progress. Even daddy was active in house cleaning.

21/1/2017: messed up sleep schedule

Went to bed late at 10 last night, woke up at 8:30. It's weekend so went to the megamall in the morning with Ms Tuong. Mom was late for a coaching observation session. Later Boom came to Bin's for lunch and mom brought fruits to bring to Bin's. Boom would eat very well there and even compete to eat Bin's bowl, crying when Bin was eating and saying "Boom day"

Boom refused to nap at noon. Wonder if it was because he drank milk tea. Finally dozed off at 5 after a bath and nursing. Mom had to sneak off to company's YEP. Boom spent the evening going to the megamall, walking around the square and having dinner at Bin's house. Seems to be getting along well with Bin.

Daddy read books for Boom while Ms Tuong fed him milk by syringe. Still refused to sleep. Ms Tuong and mommy could not do anything. Finally daddy rocked and sing and Boom cried for awhile but fell asleep at 11PM. Totally messed up schedule.

- refused to eat, shaking his head, frowning and saying "nóng lắm", "cay lắm" even touching as if testing the food

20/1/2017: farewell party

Woke up in the middle of the night to nurse for 1 hour. Ms Tuong had to play oto with Boom for another hour before he goes to bed again.

Mommy late for work. Boom late for school.

Ms Tuong came to organize B's farewell party but Boom was fussy the whole time while all classmates were behaving. Did not even announce the party. Had to leave early. It was a disaster.

Ate a lot whenever he went to Bin's house. Maybe will have to come over more often.

Haven't watched TV for a few days. Started to enjoy listening and reading books before bedtime with mommy. Can point out to things. Have very good imagination. Mimi (all the ladies), baba (sheep)... says "ngủ" at images of babies sleeping but refused to sleep.

Went to bed late again. Refused to sleep. Nursed a lot. Drank water. Got jealous when mommy rocked rabbit. Requested to open milk bottle but did not drink. Finally fell asleep after turning off the light. So next time always have to keep the room dark. 

19/1/2017: Tet festival at school

Always late for school and miss breakfast. These days it is really hard to get a tAxi, usually have to go with mommy. Boom has not been asking for Youtube. Today even hugged mommy and listened to mom talk about going to new school and saying good bye to friends. It's so sad that Boom only has a few days left at Vani class and FFS school. 

Had Tet festival at school. Wore a suit. Also many activities at Royal City. Visited Bin.

Refused milk but ate yogurt. Went to bed late at 9.

18/1/2017: making rice cake at school

Back to school. Had fun making rice cake.

Went home and went to the food fair shoppig and trying free samples. Loves eating free samples but would not eat once bought. 

Went to bed late again.

Repeat whatever other people say

Makes fun

Pretend to close his eyes to sleep and laugh

Says oto even in his sleep

Refused milk

Understands everything

Does not need TV anymore

Likes to listen to mommy read books

Loves playing with small cars 

17/12017: eye doctor

Stayed home another day although he was much better. Started to rehab from TV because he was blinking a lot. Mom and dad so worried.

Dad and Ms Tuong took Boom to the eye hospital. Luckily he was Ok.

Cried when he was not allowed TV.

Had fun at home. Took a long noon nap. 

Went to bed late.

16/1/2017: night weaning failed, ear infection

Daddy tried to comfort Boom to night wean. He would cry on and off. Finally at 1AM mommy could not stand it and had to comfort and nurse Boom. Turned out he was having a fever. He was sitting in bed crying and looking distraught. Mom felt so bad and guilty. He looked miserable and hurt. Will not do this again.

He nursed back to sleep but was fussy throughout the night. During the day he was tired and sad. Did not eat anything, only 80ml and nursed occasionally. Dozed off for naps 3 times. Only a bit happier when going to the megamall twice. Bin came to visit, was a bitore active and jumped on the car to prevent Bin from playing with it.

Went to the doctor. Had ear infection again. Had to take antibiotics. Hope he'll be better soon.

Went to bed at 8:30

When he was small, he would sleep 8 hours per night and had late bed time. Then increase to 10 with early (4 months)  then late (5-6 months) bedtime. He used to have 4 naps (morning, noon, afternoon, evening) with awake time of 1.5 hours then 3 naps (morning, noon, afternoon) with awake time of 2 hours.  After starting school at 10 months, he dropped afternoon nap and can stay awake for 5-6 hours in the afternoon, moving bedtime earlier to 8pm. Then he dropped morning nap after 1 years old and had longer noon nap for 2 hours (before that all his naps were 45'-1.5 hours . Nowadays he sleeps at 8 and sleeps for 10-11-12 hours.

14/1/2017: sleep in weekend

Nursed all night and was fussy. However the whole family slept in until 10AM.

Grandma Hang returned. Boom had fun with grandma. Went down to the food fair on the square a couple of times. Behaved and had fun eating free food. 

Had a slight fever in the evening. Managed to drink 160ml. ms Tuong had to rock twice to fall asleep. 

12-13/1/2017: new supercar

Woke up late for school. Mom had to take morning off. Grndma Hang returned to TQT. Bought supercar for Boom. Bo was excited but has no space to ride and  was a bit scared. However started to learn to push the gear by himself.

Daddy picked Boom up from school and took Boom for a ride in his new car downstairs.

Still nursed a lot at night. Mommy ẽhausted. Seems like there is not much milk left.

11/1/2017: Mr Binh Ms Huyen's 30th anniversary

These past 2 days it was raining heavily. Was really difficult to get taxi or Uber car. Each time took mom 45' to catch a car to or from work. Tired and time consuming. Boom also had to go with mommy because Ms Tuong could not catch a taxi.

Today family went home early to get ready for anniversary. Boom wore a suit. The decoration was nice. Food was so so. Raining a lot. Overall Boom had fun. Daddy helped take care of Boom. Mommy was wearing a dress and Boom couldn't nurse. It was really difficult for him. Quite pressure for family with children as the children would be noisy while older people do not appreciate and would frown on them as naughty. Everytime Boom made a sound daddy had to carry him out. Enjoyed playing with Bin Ben. Laughed and shouted a lot. Boom enjoyed the activities and claps his hands whenever people were clapping. The program took too long and Boom started to get sleepy and fussy so family had to leave early just as the entertainment was about to start. 

Went home, drank milk, pooped and went to bed laye at 10:30z

10/1/2017: first time no night nursing

Slept for 8 hours without nursing. At 4AM wanted to nurse but couldn't breathe. Struggled for awhile then woke up. Ms Tuong had to syringe feed him milk. Went back to sleep for 3 hours with Ms Tuong.

Regular day at school but was a bit fussy at home. Mommy's breast was so full after 1 day of no nursing. Went home for Boom to nurse but he only nursed a little bit. Went to bed. Mom had to pump using hand because the pump was given away. Was so tired and inefficient. Had to borrow a pump from Ms Chi's friend in R4. Was able to pump out 200ml.

However, after thay breast became deflated. Boom started nursing a lot through the night. Back to his usual self. Mom was hoping he would wean.

9/1/2017: back to school, fever, lost toy car

Woke up early. Went to school. Slight fever but was fine.

Experienced the first theft in his life. Forgot his toy car in the taxi. Ms T and others tried to call the taxi driver to stop but he speed away. Seems like he thought we forgot some valuable thing and tried to run away with it. Was a real disappointment. Daddy even tried to call the taxi company but they denied it.

Was ok at home. Went to sleep early. Did not eat much. Looked like a boxer sleeping. Did not nurse because he could not breathe.

8/1/2017: haircut, "hị i"

Had a haircut after 2.5 months. Haven't been swimming for 2 months. Looked chubbier and younger.

Was a bit fussier today. Watched a lot of TV. Did not eat much. Only drank milk.

Back to sleeping early.

These past few days, he started being giận dỗi, crying and scrowling "hị i" as his new phrase showing unhappiness about something.

7/1/2017: felt much better

Felt much better. Went around megamall with Ms Tuong while parents slept in. Managed to stay in the stroller. 

Mom had to go to work event and parents went to a dinner party. Boom napped for 3 hours happily with Ms Tuong and ate a bit of noodle.

Boom seems to enjoy the Morigana formula mom bought.

6/1/2017: high fever

Could not breathe, did not nurse much all night but was fussy. Stayed at home. High fever all day. Only drank milk. 

In the evening also fussy, mom had to carry and comfort a few times.

5/1/2017: slight fever

Woke up early, went to bed on time.

Boom is a big brother in his class now. Teacher says he's very helpful and well behaved.

Went home. Went to megamall but pooped on the way home. Saw Aura's family and pretended nothing happened.

Whenever he sees Aura, he's very shy and calls out "Ra". She would touch his cheek.

Understands everything. Let parents cut his nails instead of having to do while sleeping. Even enjoys looking.

Would cry and show frustration when mentioning "sleep" or "ngủ đi"

Loves playing with cars.

Points out to picture of animal using toilet and said "ị đây"

Slight fever. Slept on his tummy and snored loudly. Probably difficult breathing.

4/1/2017: still difficult to handle

Obsessed with oto. Always playing with oto. Can tell even if it's a picture, toy, model, big size etc. anything with wheels is a car. Grandparents gonna buy Boom a toy electric car soon.

Clinging to mommy. Wouldn't leave Mimi for a second. Whenever Mimi eats, would come to take mimi's hand to bring to the couch to sit next to him.

Addicted to nursing again. Would play peep peep with mom's nipples. Even put a bottle cap on the nipple. 

In the morning he would bring people's shoes to ask them to wear to go out together.

Loves daddy but sometimes annoyed because daddy keeps teasing him.

Back to traditional eating: spoon feeding pottridge, not baby led anymore. Even had to use syringe to drink milk in the evenings and rocking to sleep so he would not nurse to sleep. 

Still nursed a few times at night. 

Woke up late for school again. Always misses breakfast. Woke up in the middle of the night for 1 hour, rolling around, talking, nursing, drinking water. Took a while to get back to sleep. Peed a lot.

Still addicted to Youtube.

3/1/2017: first school day of new year 2017

Late for school again. Mom forgot to write new year letter for Boom. Had to send by email to teacher. 

Back to good routine. It's so sad that Boom only has 3 weeks left at new school. Daddy took Boom to school. Visited the fish pond while waiting for mommy. Was fussy and demanded to nurse again upon seeing mommy. Everyday going up the elevator was a struggle. Boom is back to his addiction again. 

2/1/2017: party with Bin Ben Voi

Woke up late. Hosted lunch party with Bin Ben Voi. Boom was fussy and clingy to mommy. Not used to too many kids at home, was afraid. Did not let Voi Mo use his high chair. 

Took a very short nap. Had another visitor Bong in the afternoon. Boom was fussy again. However, a bit sad whenever visitors left. 

Ate better. Pooped twice. Went to bed early but turned out he was always pretending. Woke up right way and nursed and tossed and turned and drank water and talking to himself for hours before falling asleep again at 11. Mom so tired and sleepy.
