30/4/2017: extended stay in Hoa Binh

Family decided to extend stay in Hoa Binh for 1 more night. Still fussy and nursed all night. Mom did not change diaper for Boom at night and unluckily Boom's pee leaked out into his pants. Mom felt so bad.

Had fun with relatives. Ate breakfast but skipped lunch because he was too sleepy. Slept for 4 hours! Nursed a lot. Has been napping well in Hoa Binh.

In the afternoon, went to Thuy Dien Song Da for a car ride. Behaved well.

Went home. Did not eat much for dinner. Was sleepy. However, after taking a shower, playing with grandma, reading books, drinking milk, nursing... went to bed late again past 10AM 

29/4/2017: long weekend, back to Hoa Binh

Mom could not sleep most of the night due to the news. Boom nursed every 2 hours and woke up once. His sleeping and nursing got worse since using Pantley removal method.

In the morning had to rush to pack for Hoa Binh. Brought lots of old stuff to give away. Mom had been tidying and cleaning the house this past few weeks.

Boom behaved 1/2 of the ride. Was bored and did not want to stay in the carseat. Finally got out, nursed and took a short nap on mommy's arms.

Played happily with grandparents. Ran around the house looking at birds, squirel, turtle, fish... talked and laughed a lot. Ate ok.

Mom so tired, had to let Boom lie in bed and watch Youtube on iPhone while mom dozed off. Finally fell asleep for nap bery late past 3. Slept late until 6:30z

Ate dinner, pooped, drank milk. Had fun with grandparents. Took a shower with  daddy. Went to bed very late at 11. Nursed a bit and tossed and turn. 

Boom is getting smarter each day.

28/4/2017: shocking news

Still nursed a lot at night. Only sucked for 1-2 minutes with not much milk but frequently fussing. Has been waking up in the middle of the night once very night for the past week. 

Went to school OK. Did not cry. Joined friends for pee pee.

Ate lots of shrimp on the way home. 

Had fun. Watched a bit Youtube before bedtime. It's hard to get him to sit and drink milk unless he'a in front of the TV although this is a very bad habit.

Always on the defense for daddy rocking him to sleep. Would lie in bed and play, singing "meo meo meo" and "wow wow wow" in tune but could not sleep. Daddy had to trick him to rock to sleep and mommy finished off by nursing.

Mom very sad and shoked this week: Khue's mom died of cancer, 1 guy in Royal City jumped to suicide, mom's ex colleague at DVG also jumped and killed herself. 

27/4/2017: mama'a boy

Woke up ok. Still fussy at night. Nursed every 2 hours.

Pooped on the way to school. 

Ate well at home. Clingy to mommy all the time: 

- mommy read books

- play with Boom

- cannot sit and eat

- lie in bed to read books on Kindle

- cried badly when mommy tried to get out of the room or daddy hugged Boom

- fights sleep. Pretend to lie in bed and snore so that daddy would not rock him to sleep

- daddy hugged Boom and talked to Boom about going to sleep and he seemed to understand 

Went to bed late at 9:30

26/4/2017: still fussy

Foot swollen and itchy. Only feels better when he is distracted. Still fussy and nursing all night. Slept 11 hours.

Did not want to go to school. Mom had to carry Boom. On the way, was sad and hugged mom tightly. Mom talked to Boom about joining teachers and friendship and seeing each other in the evening but Boom kept yelling no. He understands everything.

Had fun after school. Jealous when Ms Tuong carried another baby. Mom came home late. Boom played with daddy. Ran out and smiled broadly when mom came home. Did not drink milk or brush teeth. Daddy rocked Boom to sleep. Was so sleepy he did not have to turn on music. 

25/4/2017: fussy, runny nose, itchy foot

Fussy all night. Boom had to nurse every hour. Cried and scratch his foot. Got itchy foot mommy had to scratch for him. Poor little boy!

Was happy waking up but fussy when it's time to go to school. Mommy carried Boom to school. Boom hugged teacher but was not happy.

Happy upon returning home. Ate well. Read books and played with mommy. Did not nurse. Watched a little bit TV.

Daddy rocked Boom to sleep at 8:30

24/4/1017: fussy night

Fussy and nursed all night. Woke up once.

Lazy in bed in the morning. Pooped. Late for school. Happy day. Still had red sore eyes.

Went home and had fun. Still watched Youtube and nursed a bit. Did not eat much. Tried to avoid his bed time routine buy running around the house. Now he developed a habbit of climbing into bed when it's bed time but still fight sleep.

Tonight he asked to buti and fell asleep nursing. Slept on time at 8.

23/10/2017: red eyes

Fussy and nursing all night. Woke up at 4:20 again. Mom brought Boom to sit on the sofa and he fell back asleep but woke up at 7. 

Went downstairs to play and walk around Royal City with Ms Tuong. Ate sticky rice. 

Went back but did not eat much lunch. Was suppose to sleep at 12 but woke up again. Did not nap until 2 and woke up at 4:40. Sleep and nap schedule messed up every weekend. It's difficult since meal times at home is much later than at school.

Did not eat much all day. Managed to drink some milk. Went to megamall with mom and Ms Tuong. 

Had to buy eye drops for him. He does not have fever anymore but has red eyes went to bed late again. 

Wanted to nurse a few times but mommy was able to distract. Nowadays he would point to and touch the breast to ask for permission and cried a bit saying "bu ti" but would not pull the shirt down by himself anymore. 

Toilet training: 

- able to say "pee pee" many times and if put to toilet in time then he could pee into the toilet. Had a few accidents because he could not wait.

- most of the time when put to toilet and told to "pee pee", he could do it

- using less diapers 

22/4/2017: going out all day

Still had a fever whenever he woke up from sleeping or nap. Otherwise was fine during the day.

Woke up at 4:20AM, took until 5 to fall back asleep for 1 hour.

Went to play with Ms Tuong, took a short morning nap.

Went to sleep late at 2:30 and woke up late. Went to bed late in the evening at 10:30. Schedule all messed up.

Went out to play with Ms Tuong at the megamall and lobby all day long. Did not want to come home.

These past 2 days bcoz Boom was sick so mom let him nurse while awake but he only nursed a couple of minutes each time. Did not eat much the whole day, mostly junk food outside. But produced a gigantic poop before bedtime. Went to bed really late at 10:30

21/4/2017: sick with fever

Slept well but had a fever upon waking up. Hasn't been sick and had been to school continuously for 8 weeks. Mom and dad so sad.

Still went to school and was happy in the morning. Went to the supermarket with class. But fussy and had a high fever again after nap. Teacher wiped him naked to cool him down and called family to pick up. Mom had to call Ms Tuong. Burst into tears when picked up as if he had been holding it in for a long time.

Was ok in the afternoonz nursed a bit. Went to the megamall to play a few times. However was tired and not active. Had fever on and off. Drowsy. Watery eyes

Ate a bit for dinner in front of the TV. Did not drink milk or brush teeth. 

Toilet training for pee pee going well. Peed when brought to the toilet. Still could not poop into a potty.

20/4/2017: loves reading books

Eats well. Enjoys playing. Slept well last night for a long stretch. Mom also slept and could not even wake to change diapers.

Loves reading books. Even in the morning would want mommy to read books for him and not go to school. Reluctantly went in his stroller but was quite and cold and cried a bit at school.

Has not nursed while awake for 5 days. Today he didn't even ask for it.

Went down to collect cap from teacher Linh. Recognized teacher but did not show any emotions.

In the evening would ask to get in bed when it's bed time but played and still could not fall asleep until 9. Daddy had to interfere with some crying. Has been sleeping 1 hour late and more difficult lately.

18-19/4/2017: singing

Still nursed a lot at night. Did not nurse during the day but sometimes ask to "bu ti".

Usually goes to the bedroom and climb on the bed to play with mommy when it's time for bed. Pretend to close his eyes and sleep but then turn on the lights and say "day thoi". Daddy had to interfere and get Boom to slepe after some crying late around 9.

Likes to sing Twinkle Twinkle little star. Understands and can speak both languages well. 

Has fun on the way to and from school. Also goes downstairs to hangout after dinner. Has not watched TV for the past few days. Trying to both wean the breast and TV at the same time so it's hard.

Eats and drinks milk well. Brushes teeth twice a day but sometimes with some protestsz

17/4/2017: late for school

Slept OK. Was able to get 4 hours stretches. 

Woke up at 9:15 and nursed in bed. Got to school at 10:15. Cried a bit during drop off because he misses mommy.

Went home ate well. Very happy to play with mommy. Wanted to watch TV a bit. Did not nurse. 2nd day of day weaning restart. 

Played on the bed from 8 but refused to sleep. Fell asleep when daddy finally rocked him to sleep after some protests at 9.

16/4/2017: Sunday weaning, hang out at TQT

Still nursed a lot early morning. Weather is cool so no need to turn on AC. 

Woke up in the middle of the night for 30'. Mom had to carry around. Drank water. Then pointed back to the bed. Nursed and toss and turn then fell back asleep.

Mom put on the weaning medicine and urgo for Boom to see. He was laughing at it like the first time. 

Went out all morning with Ms Tuong. Played in the lobby and megamall. Ate free food at the supermarket.

Daddy attended a tennis tournament. Mom ordered pizza but Boom did not enjoy so much like usual.

Took a very short noon nap with Ms Tuong. Played well with mommy at home in the afternoon. Fell asleep for awhile in the afternoon.

Went to Voi's apartment at TQT for dinner to test the potty with Mo. Boom had a lot of fun. Played with his old toys as if he never saw them although he didn't bother when the toys were at home.

Behaved well during the car ride. Had difficulty sleeping. Would cry for mommy. Toss and turn in the bed for almost an hour before falling asleep. Wanted to nurse and kept touching mom's nipples but understood that they are in pain (as mom explained and put on the urgo) so he resisted. Maybe that was why he could not sleep. Finally slept at 11:15. One of his latest bedtime ever!!!

15/4/2017: weekend fun on the square

Nursed a lot early morning. 

Played downstairs in the square in the morning. Lots of activities.

Did not eat much at lunch. Had to nurse for nap time.

Nursed a lot during nap.

Went swimming.

Fussy during dinner time. 

Cried a lot during bed time. Daddy and Ms Tuong also has difficulty getting him to sleep. He wants mommy all the time.

Mommy losing patience. Boom throws tantrums. Mom decided to be stricter with Boom. Really tired and stressed. Boom so clingy. Mom could not even eat without Boom coming and taking mommy's hand to join him to play for at least 3 times per meal. 

14/4/2017: TGIF, games arcade

Woke up on time for school. Still nursed a lot early morning. Lazy to get out of bed. Peed a lot at night. Had to change diapers a few times.

Was fussy at home. Asked to watch TV. Cried when taking a bath. Had to give in and nurse while watching TV.  

Went for a walk in the square and played at the games arcade in the megamall. Had to but tokens to play basketball. Nursed again.

Always refused to change out of his dirty clothes.

Went to bed late at 9:30.

12-13/4/2017: fighting sleep

Fighting sleep. Addicted to TV again. Insist on watching "wheels on the bus". Very upset about not nursing in the evening. Kept wanting to play. Went to bed late. Mom had to nurse at 9. Today daddy managed to get him to sleep at almost 10.

Happy at school and enjoys walk to and from school. But sometimes whine during drop off. Seems to like classmate Mimi like he used to like Aura. Mimi would always follow him around. He calls her mommy. 

Still not day weaned yet. Still wanted to nurse a lot.

11/4/2017: bad evening, restart day weaning

Woke up at 8 but stayed in bed to nurse for 30', would not get out of bed.

Walked to school but whenever he passes the supermarket he would ask to come in to do shopping and "mua". He loves shopping.

Went home and hung out in the lobby. Korean friend held Boom's hands but he didn't like it.

Ate well. Had to restart day weaning because he relapsed this past weekend. Was frustrated when he saw mom's nipples in bandages.

But refused to go to bed. Kept playing. Finally daddy got him to sleep after crying in daddy's arms for 10-15'. 

10/4/2017: crying when mommy drop off

Ms Tuong came back late so mommy took Boom to school. Boom cried during drop off and missed breakfast. The rest of the day he was fine.

When he returned, saw mommy and demanded to nurse. Mom said the nipples are hurt but Boom wouldn't hear of it. Mom pretended to cry but Boom kept covering mom's mouth.

Was OK the rest of the evening but refused to eat milk dessert. Drank 1.5 cartons of milk. Was a bit fussy and clingy to mommy so Ms Tuong had to take Boom downstairs to the lobby to play. 

Went to bed ontime around 8. Back to school day routine after 4 days of messed up routine and very late bedtime at 10-11 ish. 

9/4/2017: food fest

Woke up late at 9. Still nursed at night. 

Ate some pizza. Went to the food fest with mommy 3 times. The first time in the morning it was too hot and sunny. Boom ate hotdog. Drank 7Up.

Went home and took a nap. Woke up and played and went to the fest again. Bought another hotdog and drank free milk tea.

Went swimming with mom and dad. Really enjoyed and did not want to go home. Took a shower. Ate a slice of pizza.

Went downstairs again to play in the playground. Stood by the tennis court to call out to daddy. Went to the food fest again to buy some food. Boom did not really want to listen to music performance. Watched mom and stars.

Went home but was really stubborn. Refused to brush teeth, drink milk, take off shirt. Cried a lot and spit up all

Over mommy. Mommy was really mad. Had to change and clean up and do laundry. 

Daddy took Boom into the shower and got Boom to sleep. Slept like an angel.

Terrible two: unerstands everything but sometimes really crazy and stubborn

If he cries a lot, he will spit up food. Took so much effort for parents to get him to eat and then he would spit everything out.

Make mommy carry him the whole time while other kids would sit in the stroller or walk

8/4/2017: fell off the bed, late bedtime

Woke up late at 9. Had 1/2 an apple for breakfast. 

Went to the Dai Lai lake. Boom pooped on the way so had to test the new potty in the public toilet there. Boom really enjoyed throwing pebbles into the lake and would not want to leave. Even waved good bye to family when people pretended to leave.

Had lunch at Tre restaurant. Boom ate a little.

Nursed again and slept the whole way back hugging mommy. Mommy managed to nap a bit but was sore from carrying Boom.

Mom and Boom played until evening at home. Daddy rested. Grandma returned to TQT to fly back to HCM tomorrow.

Ordered pizza delivery. Boom ate a lot. Then had egg, yogurt, milk. Watched a lot of Youtube. Danced to the music.

Finished late at 9. Was supposed to sleep then but resisted. Played on the bed with parents. When mommy went to fetch milk Daddy was too absorbed into his phone and Boom rolled and fell off the bed. Was crying a lot and spit up a little. Mom and dad so stressed and worried. Finally got better. Did not sleep until almost 11. 

So Boom had 2 fun days but both ended up with an accident. Poor boy! 

7/4/2017: Flamingo Dai Lai

Woke up early to poop again. Went to school until 2PM. Mom spent morning going to see Sun grand city and packing for Dai Lai trip.

Family picked Boom up from school after nap. Boom ate a whole banana on the way. Behaved very well. Picked up grandma Nga. Nursed at the end of the car ride. So he broke 5 day record or no daytime nursing.

Enjoyed walking around the villa and exploring. Went for a golf cart ride around Flamingo.

Did not eat much djnner. Enjoyed eating pineapple but got itchy tongue. Was crying in pain. Nothing could relieve him. Had to let him watch Youtube and nurse to sleep. Slept very late at 10:15. 

6/4/2017: Huyen Ly's birthday

Still night nursed but managed 4 hour stretch.

5th day of day weaning. Boom doesn't ask anymore, only once a day and would be a little bit upset.

Spent morning with mom and grandma. Went for a car ride but Boom was scared. Only ran after the car so no other kid can touch it. Went to the supermarket. Wanted to get into the car trolley. Then jumped to the one with the steering wheel and was upset to have to leave. Another kid was waiting to jump in.  He's very smart. Spot the car with the steering wheel right away. Also jumped out when we passed the milk session and choose exactly the kind of milk he is drinking to buy.

Always ask "Cái gì đấy". Mom thought it was just for fun but turns out he remembers everything and can repeat the name of things after 1-2 times.

Took a late noon nap with Ms T in the lobby. Went swimming with parents. Was hyper. Wanted to play with other big boys' plane toys and screamed loudly without being shy. Refused to leave the pool. Is not afraid anymore. 

Went to TQT for Huyen Ly's birthday. Did not eat much but was happy. Running around, talking, laughing, clapping hands. Played with dogs. Followed the cat upstairs and fed him constantly. When he became too full, keep asking him to eat. Gave him all his toys to play although normally Boom would not let anyone play with his toys. Kneeled down, lied on the floor and caressed the cat. 

Voi gave Boom some old toys. Boom loved the toys. 

Went home and drank milk and went to bed late at 10. 

5/4/2017: grandma Hang visit

Still nursed. Especially early morning. Woke up late at 9AM. 

Had a good day. Only wanted to enter the playground on the way to school (maybe to avoid going), not on thre way home. Went home and ate a lot. Has been drinking milk from the carton really well since starting at ASG. teacher said Boom always finish his. All kids sit around the table and drank their milk.

Refused to "talk to moon and stars". Said "no talk star đâu" because he knows it means he has to sleep.

Happy to see daddy but cling to mommy because afraid daddy will tease and wrestle with him.

Very fashionable with his street fashion. Attending ASG is beneficial, although he doesn't get to practice my gym but walks a lot and plays outside on the playground on the way home. 

Loves to read books. 

Grandma Hang will come tonight but Boom has to go to bed before that, cannot wait or it will be too late. 

4/4/2017: giao su Boom eat a lot

Woke up at 7:15. Still nursed a lot at night. Went to school on time but had to be carried. Was crying when he saw that mom's breast is still hurt. He was understanding but cried because he was upset and disappointed.

Teacher said nothing happened to Boom yesterday. Boom told teachers and friends that Boom is "giao su" but they did not understand that Boom has nickname professor at FFS.

Went home, was happy. Ate very well. Ate a lot of shrimp.

Drank 1 carton of milk. Went downstairs with parents but did not enjoy because he wanted to go swimming. 

Went to bed a bit late at 8:45 after pooping.

It's his 3rd day of not nursing while awake.

3/4/2017: night weaning failed, bedtime poop

The Urgo worked during the day. Boom looked at mom's breast longingly and sadly but he was understanding. He was really upset and disappointing at night. His cries and face was heartbreaking. He slept well during the first half and then woke. Daddy comforted him to sleep again, he seemed sleepy but was fitfull and then fully awake for 1 hour. Drank milk but then still had to nurse to sleep. Then nursed every 2 hours again. So the medicine did not work.

Today he did not nurse during the day.

Enjoys his walk to and from school. Usually asks to stop by the supermarket or playground. Sometimes refuse to go saying "Boom no school". Always wanted to carry his bags. 

Boom biết nói "Boom drink water", "Boom đói lắm", "Boom eating". Sáng đi học thì đòi vào sân chơi và nói "Boom no school"

Buổi tối không chịu đi ngủ nhưng giả vờ nằm và nói "Boom ngủ rồi"

Parents found marks on his thighs and was worried. He was quieter than usual. Did not want anyone to examine or ask about his marks. 

Went to play downstairs tonight. The weather was really nice. He was very organized and would put mom's and his shoes nicely in place.

Wanted to join the martial arts class. Would take off his shoes and go in and pretend to practice like other kids. 

Went to bed at 8:45. By 10 mom's nipples wear engorged so mom dream fed Boom. Smelled poop and was horrified to see that he has pooped in his diaper. Felt bed because did not know if he just did it or have been sleeping in his shit for 1.5 hour. Mom and dad tried to wipe while he was sleeping but he fussed and had to nurse back to sleep. He hasn't pooped in his sleep for awhile.
