28/1/2016: took bath after 2 days, daddy made Boom cry

Last night mom had to nurse for 1 hour from 12-1 then at 3 had to comfort him back to sleep again. He nursed a little bit every now and then throughout the night. Woke up at 7:30 earlier than usual. Mom did not change diaper the whole night for fear of waking him. Had a morning poop.

Falls asleep easily when carried using the baby carrier. Had a long morning and afternoon nap but napped very short at noon and evening. Gave him a bath after 2 cold days of no bathing. Today is still cold but better. 

Mom put him in the carrier and went downstairs to buy containers and beard papas. Boom quite like it.

Did not fall asleep until 10 after crying a lot. Nowadays he doesn't want daddy and only want mommy. Daddy always make him cry when playing with him.

PS. Last night he ate gimbap and nando because dad went out so mom bought Korean food. He really enjoys all food.

27/1/2016: doctor revisit, big poop, first time eating Korean

Had to take Boom to visit the doctor again to check up but luckily he's fine. Fell asleep in the baby carrier. These days bcoz it's cold, Boom enjoys rhe carrier and falls asleep easily when carried. However it's still painful to carey him for so long.

Mom and dad went to TQT to pass out Tet gifts and collect Tet gifts. It was raining and cold and bad traffic jam. Wasted a lot of time. Boom did not have a bath for 2 days because the weather was so cold. Family still sleeping in the guest bedroom.

Ms Lynn came to discuss kindergarten plan. Boom had a big poop after 1 day of no poop and when washed, dirtied the whole toilet. Cried a lot.

he ate gimbap and nando because dad went out so mom bought Korean food. He really enjoys all food.

Slept only a little in the evening, woke up to play until midnight. Daddy went out with friends although it's parents' first date anniversary, did not come back until 11. 

26/1/2016: first time to supermarket. Scary crying at midnight. Still rubning nose.

Mom and Ms Tuong took Boom to the supermarket this afternoon. He really enjoyed it but would not stay in the stroller so had to use the baby carrier. The stroller was used to carry grocery.

Did not sleep while mommy nursed in the evening until Ms Tuong rocked to sleep. Never behaved around mommy.

Stayed up for more than 4 hours in the evening and went to bed at 11:30. Woke up crying terribly at 12:30 for no reason. No one could comfort him. Mybe he couldn't breathe? Took an hour to calm down and get back to sleep. His running nose still not gone.

25/1/2016: 3rd cold day

This morning Mom had to go out to visit a kindergarten so Boom stayed home. Ms Tuong used the baby carrier while cooking. Boom also napped for an hour. 

Boom went to bed at 8 but woke up again and did not sleep till late. Boom is so active now that it's really tiring to look after him especially in the bedroom. He would try to get out of the bed and then climb up again the whole time.

24/1/2016: second cold day. Boom loves pizza!

Last night was really cold. Today is Sunday. Dad went out most of the day again. Mommy is very sad. 

In the evening family went downstairs to eat at Alfresco. Boom loves eating pizza and couldn't get enough. Tonight family will sleep in the guest bedroom to use the heater there.

23/1/2016: cold saturday

Saturday home but daddy away in the morning. It started to get very cold. The aircon in master bedroom was broken. Mom had to go out for a couple hours in the afternoon. Boom slept for 3 hours. 

22/1/16: nursed once at night only, only bottle fed whole day

Mom had a headache so slept early, daddy comforted Boom to sleep but he would cry whenever put down. Refused to nurse.

Fussy at midnight. Mom and dad took turns rocking. He would wail, turns out he was breathing thru his nose and afraid of nursing for fear of breathing difficulties. Had to pump from his nose. Mom pumped and dad bottle fed him. Drank a lot. Finally settled to sleep at almost 1.

Only nursed once just a little in the middle of the night. Had a cough now and then ao mom gave Boom the cough medicine.

Feeling better today but would not nurse until

Evening. Had 3 bottles during the day, each time a lot. At long intervals. Slept well. Pumped his nose a few times. 

Mom was able to go to visit 2 more kindergartens. Love the Flying Fingers School so maybe will send Boom there.

21/1/2016: ate little, hard to breathe at night

Yesterday family had to order Indian delivery. Ate potridge during the day.

Was fussy but less last night. Woke up a few times and had to be rocked back to sleep. Nursed a bit during the night. Nurse a bit better during the day. Had 2 big poops.

Had to use the nose pumps to get stuff out of his nose. Saline drops many times and he hated it, would cry loudly. 

Went to bed at 8 but woke up for 1 hour before faling back asleepz

20/1/16: visit doctor, fussy evening, ate very little

Was fussy last night. Did not nurse much. Had to be comforted and rocked back to sleep every few hours.

Running nose got worse so Had to take Boom to Vinmec clinic to see the doctor. While mom was arguing with the staff about the payment, Boom cried a lot and cried all the way home. Doctor gave a nose drop and siro medicine.

Went to bed early but was still fussy. Did not nurse much all day, had to be bottle fed.

Mom had plugged duck because Boom did not nurse. Daddy had to massage many times. 

Nowadays Boom xan drink a lot from the bottle and can drink from any bottlez

19/1/16: sick for the first time

Snacked throughout the night so mom exhausted. Was only able to sleep in a bit in the morning. 

Mom went to TQT for lunch with cousin. Daddy had a meeting at Concordia.

Mom and dad went for dinner with Mr Kim to discuss wedding hall plan. So Boom stayed home with Ms Tuong both lunch and dinner. Woke up to play in the evening when mom and dad came home.

Boom started coming down with a running nose but was still OK. 

Went to bed early but woke up again and did not go to sleep until 11.

18/1/2016: good eating schedule

Nursed only 7 times, the least in 1 month. 

Pooped 4 times. 

Had to wake him up from morning and evening nap so he would not oversleep.

Went down to play both morning and afternoon.

Took a long time to sleep in the evening. Slept for 15' then woke up and took another hour to sleep. Was able to play by himself on the bed. 

Mom managed to sort qua Tet. Had no time to do research on kindergarten.

Made appojntment for flue vaccination for Boom tomorrow. Will go without daddyz

Boom nursed to sleep in the evening and was smiling happy thoughts, even spilling milk out.

Note: while others nurse less after starting solid, Boom nursed more and more. Snacking?

17/1/2016: better night, big poop in the morning

Had a better night with 4.5 interval between feeds. Big pants diaper better. When mom changed diaper in the morning, found big poopz don't know when he did it because he always poop when awake and make noises.

Went for a walk both in the morning and afternoon. Had a morning nap, longer noon nap and evening nap. 

Went to bed at 8:30 but woke up at 9 to poop and did not fall asleep until 10:30 (played on the bed and fell asleep by himself)

Took a bath with daddy. Can sit and hold on to thhe bath tub. 

Face rash better after putting on the strong cream from daddy. 

Note:

Can fall asleep by himself after toss and turn on the bed for 1 hour in the evening and night but woke up by accident

Total sleep time improved recently 

First time in 1 month he only ate 8 times

Haven't slept through the night for 1.5 month

Wet the bed again although mom changed diapers every few hours. Pooped and dirtied his clothes so had to take an emergency bath in the morning. Sometimes goes to the lobby downstairs to meet other babies. Mom had to call to order bigger pant diapers hoping it will get better. Had a good day at home with parents. Took 2 very short nap and then a longer nap. Cried in between and daddy had to comfort to sleep again.

Stayed awake for 5 hours in the evening. Would nurse a few minutes rhen play. When daddy comforted he fell asleep instantly. Maybe he was way past sleepy but mom did not know how to comfort? Mom felt bad about this. Was too sleepy and can put down easily. Asked to nurse an hour later.

These days mom busy starting to prepare for Tet: making plans, buying gifts, food etc.

Also researching on business plan to open kindergarten for Boom.

Note:

Sleep like an adult: open his eyes when there are noises and fell asleep again. Sometimes get up for awhile to play.

Can crawl on all fours.

His face and body still has rashes and red dots. Cream and doctor's prescription did not help.

2 sharp teeth. Can bite.

Smiles and practice talking all the time. Bắn nước bọt.

Hardly cries when wash ass. No need to use the small spray bottle or wipes warmer anymore.

Frustrated that he cannot stand or walk. Stand supported like a drunk person.

If there is something to hold, he would push hard to stand up. Very dangerous! 

Moves very fast. Loves adult electronics.

Stayed awake for 4 hours while mommy was away at Minh Hanh's wedding so went to bed early at 8. Behaved well when mom was away. Daddy went out with friends and came home late at 11. Boom woke up to play when daddy came home and went back to sleep at 12.

Last night was better than this last month average. Boom only ate once at 3 and upon waking up at 7 to poop.

This morning went for a walk and made a new friend Bun, even visited his apartment. Mom had Ms Ha from May Bank visit to discuss insurance and gave Boom some gifts.

Did not nap much at noon due to poop. Mom went out for a few hours to visit Kinderworld and BVIS and discuss with Ms Lynn Dung. Boom stayed home w Ms Tuong. Drank 40ml then napped for almost 2 hours then took a bath.

Played with mom and dad in the evening then slept at 8. Woke up for awhile at 10 then fell asleep again.

12/1/2016: 2 night wakings

Wake up twice in the middle of the night. Once after mom fed and changed diaper.  Tossed and rolled for 30' before falling back asleep. Another time after feeding to poop. Took almost 1 hour of playing by himself and toss and turn on the bed to fall asleep.

Today is colder than usual. Boom went for a walk twice but almost no one out.

Took a long morning nap and didn't even want to get up. Mom got to nap with Boom. Super short afternoon nap due to drilling. A 1 hour evening nap. 

Was able to drink 70ml from bottle

Played anf went to bed at 9:30

Slept from 9 last night until morning but was quite restless. Mommy had to comfort many times.

Ms Tuong took care of Boom in the morning for mom to sleep in. 

Took super short naps in the morning and noon. Played during the afternoon and did not take a nap until 3, for 1.5 hours. Did not enjoy his playground time with other babies. 

Had 3 solid meals today. Went to bed early at 7:30. Yay!

But did not skepe deeply, requiring multiple feeds and comfort. Always accidentaly rolling over.

Went to bed at 8 last night. Nursed every few hours. Woke up at 7:30 to poop.

Tòday Ms Lynn came to visit to discuss plans to open a preschool. Mom and dad want to open a good preschool for business and for Boom to attend. Ms Lynn helped carry Boom for awhile.

In the afternoon mom and dad took Boom to thr playground. Boom's still shy and afraid to play with other babies. Daddy gave Boom a bath in the tub.

Mom went to visit Ms Khanh Chi's newborn. Then Ms Trang tron came over to visit for awhile and carried Boom.

Boom cluster fed every couple hours for a couple minutes throughout the evening. Finally went to bed at 9, later than past 2 days but still a big improvement compared to these past 2 months. Was not deeply asleep, keep opening his eyes and making noises. Mom had to comfort and give him the pacifier. He can use his hand to control the pacifier.

Hasn't slept in the crib since beginning of December

Beginning of Aug: slept from 7, 8PM

Sep 20: started sleeping through the night until mid Nov. and 

Beginning of November: Bed time got later until 9, 10

Last time he had dreamfeed 25/11, since then he went to bed so late at 10, 11 that there is no point having dreamfeed. Also nursed frequently theough the night and started co sleeping then :(

Last night mom used the pants diapers for Boom and it was better but a bit tight. 

Woke up at 7 after 12 hour sleep, earlier than usual to poop.

Took 2 morning naps. Ms Tuong played w Boom so mom got a morning nap. 

In the afternoon napped with parents for 2 hours, went for a walk, took a bath, had dinner then played and then nursed to sleep at 8. Mom kept fingers crossed for Boom not to get up in the evening. Did not pee for 5-6 hours in the evening.

Snacking and cluster feeding more often since starting solid :(

Wet the bed again! Maybe it's because of the Nepia diaper? Mommy changed clothes in the middle of the night and in the morning Ms Tuong gave him a bath.

Regular day. Enjoyed his afternoon playground time. Nowadays it's usually cold and foggy in the morning.

Had very short naps during the day so went to bed early at 7PM and amazingly did not wake up and slept through the night. This hasn't happened for 2 months. Boom used to sleep from 7, 8PM when he was 2-4 months.

Note:

Has 2 teeth since Saigon trip.

Still has rashes of allergy on and off on face body.

Terrible night. Nursed every hour or so. Refused the pacifier. In the morning played with Ms Tuong while mom slept a bit more and reorganized the house. Took a short morning nap. Grandpa Minh came for lunch. Boom ate with family. Nursed to sleep for a 2 hours noon nap and nursed before waking up.

Took 2 more catnaps. Went to bed late at 11. 

Panda Tan came to visit and gave a box of pate and big bottle of beer and stayed for dinner. Boom was scared.

Nursed only a couple of times last night, luckily. Wet the bed again! Although mom changed diapers quite frequently. Maybe because of the bad diaper or he peed too much during night nursings?

Had a few good naps, went to bed early at 9h45. In the evening pooped without parents knowing so the poop was already dry. Mom felt really bad.

Had chocolate for the first time. Did not enjoy cereal like when grandma fed. Can drink water and milk from sippy cup with little assistance.

Went to the playground with mom and Ms Tuong but because mom was there, he became fussy and would not play. 

Grandpa Minh dropped by on his way from the airport to hotel on biz trip to give a box of fruits and played w Boom for a bit.

5/1/2016: recovery in HN, mommy goes to wedding

Today is a day for recovery. Boom was happier and got used to Ms Tuong again. Slept in with mom until 9. Sweated a lot at night even though the weather is cool so had to change bedsheet. Took 3 good day time naps. Enjoyed playing with other babies in the playground downstairs. Let Ms Tuong give him a bath without crying but did not enjoy like before. 

Mom had to trick Boom in order to leave the house to attend Ha Lien's wedding. He took a bottle and a long nap at home. He was so happy to see mom return. Had a super long nursing session in the evening before bed.

Separation anxiety

4/1/2016: long travel day, wake up middle of the night to poop

Woke up in the middle of the night to poop. Luckily he fell back asleep after washing and nursing.

In the morning Mom had to pack and have Mr Cuong visit. Family hurried to the airport.

Boom bahaved at the airport. Did not nurse much the whole trip so mom had engorged breasts. Mom bought Burger King and Dunkin Donut.

Boom slept a bit during take off, nursed a tiny but during take off and landing. Played the whole flight. Did not cry but was active and sometimes fussy. Slept again during taxi right home. 

 

Whole family was exhausted. Boom cried and was fussy, asking for mommy.

Slept well but nursed quite a lot. Only took 2 daytime náps.

Went for breakfast and lunch at Crescent mall with family. Would not sit in high chair or stroller so had to go home right after lunch. Would not follow Ms Hoa giup viec. Ate a lot of cereal fed by grandma. 

Ms Hai relative came to visit in the evening. Boom seems to enjoy her.

Boom is afraid of taking baths these days. Daddy had to comfort and try hard. Maybe the duck tub is too small? Twice that mommy gave Bath Boom cried. Also refused massage.

Luckily went to bed early at 9.

2/1/2016: wet the bed, Indian food, photoshoot

Slept in again. These days he slept quite a lot but goes to bed late. Wet the bed! Mommy changed diaper middle of the night but was already full and wet his clothes and a bit of the bed. Felt terrible. Had to change him and clean up without waking him up.

Went out for breakfast (but he didn't get to eat) and Indian food for lunch. Boom also ate some. Took 2 short noon naps and 1 evening cat nap. Ms Vy and Mr Quan came for Boom's photoshoot. Photoshoot went well, Boom cooperated but nothing special. Boom ate well at dinner and even ate a lot of cereal. 

Went for a evening walk by the lake crescent mall with mom and dad but was scared and would not sit in the stroller, had to be carried. 

1/1/2016: New year

1/1/2016

Boom slept 10 hours lást night. Behaved in the morning. Took a noon nap. Mom pumped and fed Boom and went to Ms Hai Yen's wedding while Boom stayed home with dad and grandparents. Had some cereal, took a 40ml bottle, hardly ate anything all afternoon, only nursed a few mins at a time.

Took 2 short afternoon naps and stayed up for 3.5 hours in the evening. Enjoyed guests' company for NY BBQ dinner at home (Mrs Van Hung, Mrs Nga Thanh Nien, Mrs Lan, Ms Dao's family). Loves children and felt frustrated for not being able to run and play with them. Pooped during dinner without parents knowing. Sat and ate dinner with everyone else.

Record number of feeds.

Went to bed at 11 after many struggles.
