29/2/2016: leap year, confident crawler, phony cry

Good day, woke up earlier than usual. Had 3 good naps. Went downstairs twice. Slept a lot for evening nap. Mom and dad had to go to Mr Tuan Anh's house for bà nội's giỗ so Boom stayed home with Ms Tuong. Took another evening cat nap and did not sleep until 11 again.

Very demanding: gets mad if things taken away or if he doesn't get what he wants

Cries and want to play with the door in his room.

Phony cry: daddy tried to comfort him to sleep but he cries a lot and struggle and lean on chair to stand up. Stopped and laugh the moment mommy picked him up

Confident, can crawl anywhere he wants

Never rest for a second

Can spot tiny things

Explore everything: plant water, goat fur, electric outlet and wires

Laughs and smiles when outside, not shy like before

Likes to watch the puppies

Only nurse every 3-4 hours during the day but snack every 1-2 hours at night.

28/2/2016: Boom loves to stand and play the piano

Today Ms Tuong returned at noon. 

Boom bahved and have 3 regular naps except that in the evening he almost fell asleep but then wokr up and played until 10:30. Nowadays he always had to cry before falling asleep even when held and comforted. 

Daddy went to see Five star My Dinh project in the afternoon and sneaked in golf.

Ms Dung came to discuss kindergarten project with mommy.

Note: 

Boom would not sit still for a second. Exploring everything from stroller wheels, vase, wine bottles, electric outlet. Does not like toys, only likes forbidden or dangerous things.

Loves to stand, will stand whenever he can hold on to something or a wall. Can even stand and play the piano. 

Can sit by himself and play the piano with 2 hands, using his fingers.

27/2/2016: ms Tuong away, baby Stella visit, went to TQT for dinner

Only pooped once in the morning. Ms Tuong went home today so only parents with Boom.

Went for a walk with parents and breakfast downstairs. 

Baby Stella Minh An visited during the afternoon. Baby girls are so easy going and well behaved compared to boys. She would just lie there for diaper chnge and sit and play by herself or during bath time. When traveling in the baby carrier she would not fuss and would fall asleep easily. Also only poops once very 3 days. Parents ordered Indian delivery to eat with Ms Minh. Boom did not socialize much. Went for a walk around Royal City and had a drink but Boom cried and insisted on drinking mom's cup.

After they left dad gave Boom a bath and family went to TQT for dinner with grandparents Binh Huyen. Boom likes looking at the puppies but was also afraid. Boom ate dinner there but was not comfortable because there was nowhere for him to crawl around freely. 

Took 2 catnaps on the way there and back.

Went home and played while mom showered. Nursed but was a bit fussy and took awhile until 11 to fall asleep.

Note: daddy used the pacifier on him and it seems to work a bit in calming him 

26/2/2016: behaved well

Woke up early to poop. Had good naps.

Mom went to visit Justkids and Koala house so Boom stayed home to play with Ms Tuong. Went to the lobby but pooped. Had a bath, drank 120ml and took a cat nap.

Took 1 hour to fall asleep since he started feeling sleepy in the evening. Fell asleep finally at 9. Then woke up and did not sleep again until 11.

25/2/2016: recent development

Morning: played in the lobby but when mommy came down, start to fuss

Had good naps but went to bed late after a false alarm (pretend to sleep). Cried a lot when daddy didn't let him approach mommy

Dec: cannot stand up in playard. After Tet: can stand up and will be yelling from the crib

Does not make yarning sound or rẶn ị Anymore

Sucking mouth sound so funny

Crawl around the house to follow but would stop half way if he hears some other more attractive sound

Likes dangerous and dirty things such as elctric outlet, wires, wheels

Allergy and mouth rash went away

Now he has teeth, has to clean his teeth but cannot brush yet

Ergo carrier more convenient than the Aprica one. Since before Tet would only sleep when using the carrier.

Since Novemeber: only sleep when half asleep and then put to breast 

Wake up: would look around and sit up immediately

Since Tet: can stand up in playard and yell for rescue

Loves to stand up whenever he can hold on to anything

Can climb up the sofa bed but cannot get down using his butt

24/2/2016: woke up early, long noon nap, late bedtime

Nursed a lot througout the nite again. Woke up early. Took a very short morning nap. Had a long 3 hour noon nap so mom and Ms Tuong got to rest.

In the evening tried to hold off bedtime so he could sleep thru but ended up waking again. 

Conclusion: he always need a evening nap so the earlier the nap the better. Then he will play for 1-2 hours before finally sleeping.

Mom cannot do anything in the evening because he would nurse for 1-2 hour before falling deeply asleep.

He gets jealous when daddy kissed mommy and would try to jump in to rescue mommy.

23/2/2016: busy day, mommy donate breastmilk, visited Vinschool and American school

Woke up early at 7:15 because of poop. Went downstairs to play. Had a long morning nap. Went to the supermarket with mom & Ms Tuong. Had to transfer from stroller to shopping cart to baby carier. Fell asleep in the carrier but woke up upon arrival home. Took another cat nap. Went downstairs to play while mom visited Vinschool and American School Kindergarten. Took a long early evening nap. Mom haf to wake him up for dinner. 

Went to bed at 9:30.

Last night mom posted to offer breadtmilk for donation and so many people contacted. Don't know what to do.

22/2/2015: pooped at 5AM

Was very sleepy but woke up due to the poop. Mom and dad had to clean ass and mom had to comfort and nurse Boom back to sleep. Took an hour.

Had a regular day at home. Took a long morning nap but 3 cat naps in the afternoon and evening. Went to bed at 10.

21/2/2016: daytrip to Ecopark, old toys from Bon Ben, bath tub time with daddy

This afternoon mom and dad went ro Ecopark with Bach Duong to explore possibility of buying a house there. Brought Boom and Ms Tuong along. Was a nice day. Boom slept on the way there. Enjoyed seeing the model house and playing around, got a tram ride. Was fussy on the way back so had to stop in Tan Mai so mom comfort Boom to sleep.

bach Duong also gave Boom lots of old toys of Bin and Ben.

Daddy gave Boom a bath. Boom quite enjoyed it. Has been a long time since he took a bath in the tub. Went to bed early at 9:30.

20/2/0216: record sleep in, trail at Little gym, record total sleep

Boom slept until 11am, the latest ever. Nursing every couple hours. Had a really big diaper.

In the afternoon mom and dad brought Boom downstairs to try a session of Little gym. There are 3 other babies smaller than Boom with there parents. Boom was really shy and scared and cried most of the time, did not enjoy the activities. Don't know if it was because he was sleepy or not. Mo wondering whether to sign up for him so he could be more active and confident or not, since they are having a 50% promotion.

Went to bed at 9:30, earlier than other days, making his total sleep 16 hours, which is a record in recent months. Usually the most he can sleep recently is 14-15 hours.

19/2/2016: last day with Adam

Today Adam's family went on Ha Long bay day trip so Boom stayed home with mommy to rest. 

Took short naps here and there. Seems a bit cranky.

When they came back in the evening, Boom was a bit fussy. Spent some time saying good bye before going to bed late.

Boom got lots of present such as new clothes, sleeping bag, backpack, old toys, storybooks. Adam also forgot his clothes.

18/2/2016: busy sightseeing day

Today mom took Adam's family sightseeing. Boom and Ms Tuong tagged along. Boom behaved really well. We went on old quarter tram tour again, Ngoc Son pagoda, cathedral, had banh mi and cafe trung.

Boom went home for a nap while Adam went ice skating. Everyone went out for vegetarian food. Daddy drove everyone on a city night tour. Boom was fussy so had to stop at Ho Chi Minh masoleum to walk around so he could fall asleep.

Woke up right away upon arrival home. Went to bed late again,

17/2/2016: Adam's family visit

Today Adam's family visit from Singapore. 

Boom went to the supermarket in the morning. Then took a really long noon nap. Woke up to take a bath and mommy also prepare and take a shower to get ready for guests. 

Adam is 3 but Boom is excited to have guests. Had a good dinner of spring rolls together. Boom went to bed really late.

16/2/2016: visit Bin at R5A

Went downstairs twice today. Went around Royal City and then played in the playground.

Visited Bin 1.5 months at R5A. Boom looked like a giant compared to him. 

Only took short naps throughout the day. Ms Lynn came over for dinner and discuss business plan.

Went to bed at 9 but woke up again. Played for an hour before sleeping again. Mom was so tired and sleepy.

Motion improvements

Took 4 months to roll over but a few days to become an expert

Crawl using tummy for a month and now can crawl using legs since 7 months. Early.

Stand up easily with little support this past week. Even in the playard. Early.

Also sit up easily without support since before Tet. Early.

Can pick up small food since 7 months. Chew easily. Pass from one hand to another since 6 months. Can hold sippy cup. Early.

15/2/2016: end of Tet. Boring day.

End of Tet. Daddy back to work.

Boom started going downstairs to see friends but only in the lobby.

Had a long noon nap. Went to the supermarket in the afternoon with mom and Ms Tuong in the stroller. Had to carry after awhile. Mom haf to argue with the staff for them to help bring grocery back home or else they would not deliver.

Boom slept at 7:30 but woke up again. Was awake to play and poop for 2 hours before finally going to bed.

14/2/2016: bad valentine, day of recover

Grandparents left early in the morning for the airport.

Sleep 2 long naps of 2 hour and 3 hour during the way. Probably exhausted from the busy week.

Daddy didn't do anything for Valentines. Mom's very disappointed and sad. 

Jan 2016 changes

Was able to stand up easily this past week.

Travelled a lot and had a lot of Tet activities.

Takes longer naps, probably tired. Sleeps in late in the morning.

Has 3 teeth and 3 more coming out.

Change of speech: from agrrr to baba and not mumbling to himself

Can play by himself and mumble while playing but still have to watch out in case he falls

Pooped out remains of solid food. Would shudder when poop.

Farts loudly and smelly.

Gets taken by surprise easily whenever there is a sudden sound.

Very active.

Allergy on and off

Does not cry when taking a bath but hates the saline drops.

Laughs out loud when playing with Ms Tuong

Always asks for food whenever he sees others eating. Especialy when downstairs with other babies.

Plays in the playground: would crawl around and look at others but cautiously, crawl back to mommy

Can go to supermarket with mom but get irritated after awhile in the stroller

Only likes dirty stuff like paper and plasticez labels, strings, paper. Not interested in toys. Eats everything. 

Impossible to read book to him nowadays.

Would sit next to parents and pay interest in whatever is going on, when people are talking or on the phone, as if he's part of the conversation.

First thing when waking up: sit up and cry if no one is there or smile if parents are there, then stand up and start grabbing things.

Likes looking at loghts and fan on the cieling.

Hair poking out, soft.

Would stand in the crib and yell to be rescured. If mom needs to use toulet, have to put crib within view. 

Rarely use the changing table nowadays because he would not lie still.

Hates sitting in the car seat unless sleepy. Had to give him new toys every minute.

13/2/2016: Ms Tuong return. Grandparents's last day in Hanoi.

Daddy and grandpa Minh went to play golf. Boom and mommy and grabdma Hang went to TQT and then A gia buffet with Ms Nga's family and Ms Hang's friend- Thu Ha. Boom ate a bit then fell asleep so mom brought Boom home. 

Unluckily Boom pooped twice when mom was home alone so mom had to clean up the mess using wipes. Also woke up right way and did not nurse much. 

Went for a walk in Royal City with grandma and her friends. 

Ms Tuong finally returned. Boom was very happy abd laughed out loud.

Grandparents went out for tango. 

12/2/2016: ecopark

Had a big poop in the morning. Still some traces of "quy linh". Another poop in the evening with pieces of corn. Hardly peed today. Don't know if he is dehydrated.

Had a fun but exhausting day visiting Ecopark. Thuy Duong's villa and Ms Hue's duplex. Had lunch there.  

Boom took 2 short naps on the way there and while there. Took a long nap home. Everyone exhausted.

Had dinner at home, bath, played and went to bed.

This week has been exhausting without Ms Tuong. Parents had to look after Boom full time and do housework. Also had lots of activities during Tet. Luckily grandparents helped out. But they could not take care of Boom. He only wants mommy or daddy. Boom

Has been eating whatever whenever. Everyone is impressed. He can even eat corn cob. However when going out he barely nurses at all.

11/2/2016: relatives

Still pooped out small poops of "thạch quy linh"

Visited relatives today: Grandpa Xuong and grandma Hai and relative Hoan (from father's side)

Ms Tuong could not return today because of dead grandma. Will be delayed by 2 days. So grandma Hang had to do a lot of preparation for dinner tonight to host Mr Tuan Anh's family. Mommy had to do laundry, take our gabbage, clean house. Daddy gives bath for Boom, hang and take in laundry and load the dishwasher.

Had a good dinner at home with Mr Tuan Anh family. Thao Nguyen came without her husband. Boom played a little with cousin Mun. Gave Mun some of mommy's breastmilk. Boom did not sleep until late.

10/1/1016: hanoi old quarter. Separation anxiety. Mama's boy.

APooped twice, with lots of "thạch đen" that he ate last night

Parents and grandparents took Boom around old quarter by tram. It was a good experience. Went back to Mrs Huyen for pho. Boom took a nap during the tram ride and on the way back home.

Played all afternoon. Dad gave Boom a bath. Mom had to do housework. Ms Tuong will not come back tomorrow and will need a few more days because her grandma died. Finally nursed and slept at 5:30, only giving parents less than and hour to rest before heading out to dinner.

Had EVIVA shareholder dinner at Wild rice restaurant. Boom was not happy so parents had to leave early. Went home to play and fell asleep half an hour later at 9:30 (early) but nursed a lot so mom did not get to sleep until midnight.

Quite a tiring day full of activities. 

Note: these days he would not let anyone hold him and would cry if mommy is away for just a few mins. Even when playing, every few mins he had to turn around to hug kommy for assurance.

9/1/2016: back to Hanoi, family visit Royal City, dinner out, received lots of lixi

No poop today.

Had a family early lunch gathering before leaving for Hanoi. Mom had to pack and also greet Ms Dung visiting. Luckily Boom slept the whole way back.

Mom had to clean the house, unpack, do laundry. Boom nursed and fell asleep so family was able to take a short nap.

Managed to all take a shower and give Boom a bath before TQT family visit. Everyone gave Boom a lot of lixi money.

Family went to Sofitel for dinner. Boom napped and woke up to eat. First time eating at 5 star hotel. But nowadays he always wants mommy. Maybe because of too many activities and strangers. 

Went home and nursed and play but did not fall sleep until 11:30z

8/1/2016: terrible new year's eve

Boom woke up past midnight and cried a lot. Took some time to comfort.

Only grandma and Mr Tho gave Boom li xi lucky money.

Had lunch with grandparents. Went to temple but it was too crowded. Took miltiple naps on the way in the baby carrier. Went home and played then took a long nap. Mom very unhappy about daddy not wanting to take care of Boom or paying attention.

Had a big family dinner. Finished all the food mommy prepared from Hanoi. Boom pooped a big poop. Fell asleep at 10:30 but woke up

Right away. Did not finally sleep until midnight and nursed a long time.

7/1/2016: lunar new year eve

Luckily aircon in Hoa Binh is good.

Parents had a big argument about daddy wanting to go see friends.

Went to Yen Mong for lunch at Mr Khanh's house. Boom slept 1/2 of the time and then ate with everyone. Went home and played a long time before falling asleep. 

Went to wash car with parents and stop by Ms Tam's house. She gave Boom homemade cereal. Boom ate a lot.

Had a simple dinner with grandparents. Fell asleep but then woke up

Again. Did not went to bed until 11:30, missed new year's eve. 

No bath. Too cold. 

6/1/2016: tiring travel day

Even though family went to bed late, had to get up at 7 to prepare to leave. Ms Tuong and grandparents left early so parents had to struggle with bathing Boom, cleaning ass, packing, laundry, taking trash out, watering plant, breakfast. Took 2.5 hours to leave the house.

Boom did not sleep in the car anytime to Quang Con or Hoa Binh but napped just before leaving for both car rides. So mom almost went crazy tyong to handle him for the car ride. He would not sit in the car seat and would want to climb everywhere. It was dangerous. Mom felt car sick. 

Everyone in Quang Con were waiting. Today is gio cu. had lunch there and left quickly. Thao Nguyen couldn't come. Only Phuong Dong and his ừie.

In Hoa Binh Boom fell asleep when we almost arrived. Family all gathered. Had lon muong met for dinner and made rice cake. Boom also joined and had fun. Took naps well. Ate dinner with the whole family. 

Went to bed at 8:30, was fussy and rewuired comforting a few times. Probably was tired from the travelling and over stimulated feom all the activities and people.

4/2/2016: grandparents visit from Saigon

Regular day. Still cold. Most babies do not go out so no one to hang out with. Mom still preparing gifts and food for Tet and packing. Only have tomorrow left. Had a good noon nap.

Waited the whole afternoon for grandparents to come. They did not arrive until late evening for dinner. Brought lots of gifts for Boom (bô & xe tập đi). Boom slwpt well, went to bed after grandparents left.

5/2/2016: last day in Hanoi

Super busy day. Had to finish cooking and packing to go to Quang Con and Hoa Binh tomorrow. Boom went to supermarket with mom and Ms Tuong. In the afternoon slept very little, mommy had to make jello. Mommy had a bad headache. Grandparents came for lunch and dinner and stayed overnight. Boom was fussy and did not sleep until midnight. Mom super tired and crazy with all the preparation. Had to pack lots of stuff for Boom for 3 day trip to Hoa Binh, gifts for people and lots of ready made food to eat there.

3/2/2016: kindergarten visit, biz plan with Ms Dung

Mom went out during the day to visit 2 kindergarten. Boom cried a bit when mom abd dad left. 

Daddy went out for company party. Ms Dung came over and ordered take out and mom and her discuss kindergarten biz plan. Fussy at night, awake for almost 5 hours before falling asleep.

2/2/2016: Mr Sun came out, mommy mad at daddy

Staff came to fix aircon but it's still very noisy. Family have had to sleep

In the guestbedroom for 10 days. 

Today is sunnier than usual but still a bit cold. 

Lots of delivery guys came to deliver grocery online because the supermarket would not deliver.

Daddy went out with friends. Mom had to take care of Boom the whole evening. Dad came home 2 hours late when mom just finished getting Boom to sleep and woke Boom up again. Mom really mad.

Ate a lot of xôi. Can éat meat and lạp xưởng.

Would study what's inside his bib after eating.

Sometimes makes funny faces or frown.

Shuddered whenever he pooped.

Loves being baby carried nowadays. Would not fall asleep otherwise.

Haven't gone out on a walk for a long time

1/2/2016: hospital visit, early bedtime

Today mom and Ms Tuong has to take Boom to the hospital because his mouth rash got worse. However they only prescribed medicine that we already tried. Boom napped on the way there and back.

Boom went to bed early at 9:15 and slept till morning but made noises a few times.

31/1/2016: ông công ông táo

Family went to TQT for ông công ông táo. Boom behaved and napped on the way there and back and also a long nap there. Ate on mommy's lap. Family took lots of food home. Mom brought homemade caramen and jello.

Went to bed early but woke up for 1 hour before midnight.

30/1/2016: banh chưng making, Panda's wedding

Saturday. Gloomy, cold. Mommy stopped keeping track of night feedings because Boom nursed too often at night. That's why nowadays mommy's even more tired than when he was a newborn.

Mom went to Panda's wedding in the morning. Daddy joined for lunch. 

Boom went downstairs 4 times: twice to see banh chung making, twice for outdoor concert but when came down with parents the show was over. Fell asleep both times.

 

29/1/1016: fussy night

Was fussy at night. Woke up crying at midnight and would not fall asleep until an hour later with daddy's comfort. Nowadays he would only continue sleeping if mommy give the Boob.

Had a long noon nap. Went to bed late.
