15-17/9/2017: canceled Da Nang trip

Was supposed to go to Da Nang for 4 days but because of a big storm, we had to postpone it to October. Daddy is also sick. However Ms Tuong already made plans to go home so parents were left with Boom and no help. 

Mom pick Boom up from school on Fri and joined daddy at the clinic to go home together. Boom enjoyed hot chocolate there.

Played with mom in his room. Ate a bit. Mom gave Boom a bath and pooed.

On Sat went for pho in the morning with parents. Enjoyed it. Walked around the square. Got stuck in a big rainstorm. Had to hide in the hairdresser. Got a haircut. Boom did not cry, even enjoyed it. Looked cool.

Had pizza for lunch. 

Had a very long nap. Went to Quan Ngon for dinner. 

Slept really late at 11:30.

Had Pho again on Sunday. Went to the megamall with mommy. Asked for a new toy car again! 

Went home to find ong Thai ba Ly chi Minh and bac Tho visit. Boom was very happy. Spent the day playing with chi Minh. 

Fell asleep during first half of lunch at Nijyu Maru. Ate a bit. Had ice cream. Went to the swuare and playground. Did not nap for the rest of the day. 

Played with chi Minh and went swimming with mommy. 

Mom gave Boom a bath and ate. Drank milk. Thought he will watch Youtube and fall asleep at 7:30 like some days when he did not nap. However, he ended up playing in the dark with parents until 10:30! 

11-14/9/2017: late bedtime again

Back to school. Back to usual

Routine. Late bedtime again. Usually sleeps at 10 or 11 even though he goes to bed at 8 or 9. Only once daddy got him to sleep at 9:15. 

Usually wakes up fussy asking for candy. 

Ms Tuong took him swimming once. He enjoyed it.

Had to let him cry a few times because he was too fussy. Always crying and asking for things.

8-10/9/2017: food poisoning

Went to TQT for gio ong. Had a fun time playing with Bong the cat and Bin Ben. Did not want to leave. Ended up sleeping late at 11pm.

Boom had a serious case of food poisoning. Woke up crying badly and vomitting all over the house 4 times in the middle of the night. Was so exhausted and sleepy.

Was better the next day but did not eat much. Went to the doctor. 

Fell asleep on the couch. Went grocery shopping with mommy. Got 3 new toy cars.

Went to bed early at 7:30. Woke up at 11 for 1.5 hours but slept again until 9.

Mommy had baking class. Boom went for a car ride downstairs with daddy.

Cried and did not want to nap. Napped for 5' but woke up when mommy moved Boom to the crib. Trying to train him to sleep in the crib again. 

Went swimming but went home early because he kept asking for his toy truck.

Fell asleep ealey at 7:20 again.

5-7/9/2017: back to school

A new school year has started. Boom

Is back to school. Still sometimes a bit fussy during drop off.

Enjoys playing after school in the square. Still cannot share. Always wanted to go shopping to buy stuff.

Sleeps with parents but takes 2 hours to fall asleep. Sometimes fussy in the middle of the night. Recent days Boom fell asleep earlier by touching mom's nipples! 

Overall, can understand and say everything almost like an adult. Very smart and fast learner. But still throwing tantrums especially with mommy. 

1-4/9/2017: independence day weekend

3 days off. Late naps. Late bedtime! Usually takes 2 hours to fall asleep. Only today went to bed at 8 and fell asleep at 10pm, a bit earlier than usual. Mommy had to use the story of police man checking on children to scare Boom. But he would protest and even make fun of it. Now he's too smart.

Has a fun weekend. Went to Ecopark to visit Voi's family. Enjoys biking around. Towards the end was really enjoying playing with cousins. 

Parents went to visit Khanh's son in the hospital. Poor guy. 

Boom was a bit fussy time to time. Asking for this and that. After that he even retold his naughty story and tried to deny his naughtiness.

Went swimming 3 times. Even twice today! Kept asking for the pool and wanted to jump in. The cycle: refuse to go swimming, refuse to get out of the pool, refuse to take a bath, refuse to leave the bath tube! 

Bin Ben. Visited on Sunday afternoon. 

Parents went for lunch with TQT family. Boom was supposed to join but he was busy playing and it was near nap time so je stayed with Ms Tuong and took a nap. 

Still coughing and has slight runny nose. 

Got some old toys from Voi and old clothes from Bin Ben. 

29-31/8/2017: tantrums, health check

Sleeps early around 9:30-10 whenever Ms Tuong brings Boom to sleep.

Fussy going to school. Mymy moved to new class. Now in the afternoon there are so few kids at Boom's class.

Had to go to doctor twice yesterday. In the morning for Canada immigration health check up. In the afternoon to Vinmec for his coughing. This time Boom did not cry and even had fun. Even asked mommy to take a picture for him.

Had a tantrum tonight. Never satisfied with what he has. Keep asking for things or crying. Daddy gave Boom some pats in the bottom. Mom had to comfoet Boom to sleep. If it is really dark, he falls asleep faster. 

22-28/8/2017: mommy finished project

Mom finished project on 23rd so has more time with Boom and also to run errands, do beauty regime, work out.

Boom still use diaper and forget to tell or tell that he wants poo but a bit late.

Sometimes fussy going swimming. Refused to take a shower, then refuaed to get out.

If he sees a toy, he would throw a tantrum demanding it.

Loves to sing too much. Sing while swimming and sleeping.

Would sleep very late if he's with mommy, taking 2-3 hours to fall asleep.

Daddy had to punish Boom a few times.

Loves the Book the boy who says no. Understands everything.

If mom and dad goes out, Boom can sleep early with Ms Tuong. 

15-21/8/2017: late bedtime

Been sleeping late every night. Going to bed at 10:30. Always took 2 hours playing and singing before he can fall asleep. Usualy wakes up at 7 fussy...

Went swimming but was fussy asking to go home to bring down his car.

Went to the bookstore with daddy but was only interested in buying cars. Daddy bought Boom some planet books.

Can speak full sentences but stammers finding words to say.

At night kept asking mommy "Mommy goi Boom di" and then answer "Yept". He cannot pronounce Yes yet.

Grandma Ly arived today

Enjoys webcam with grandparents

Can share his food even when he doesn't want to. Would give to mom and dad

- got hit by Mimi today and burst into tears. However he is still best friends with Mimi. Teacher says he is very kind and friendly to his friends.

14/8/2017: bicycle

Tries to avoid going to school everyday but seems happy afterwards.

Kept wanting this and that in the megamall and asked mommy to bring money to buy. He thinks we have money and can buy anything! 

Went with mommy downstairs to ride his bycle around after dinner. Then took a shower again before bed.

Drinks milk well these days.

Went to bed late 10:20. Took 1 hour playing and singing in bed. 

12-13/8/2017: regular weekend

Boom's diarrhea got better. 

Went swimming both days. Big improvements!

Still goes to sleep late. Even only napped for 30' on Sunday.

Enjoys going to the supermarket. Picked the food with free toy cars attached. 

Wanted to eat ice cream. 

Tries to avoid taking a shower. Says that he is still clean!

At least OK with brushing teeth nowadays. 

Avoids sleeping. Would turn the lights back on. 

Sleeps well at night but sometimes wakes up too early before 6. Sometimes toss and turn and hug mommy in his sleep. 

Loves touching mom's lips. Also touches his own lips and nipples.

Does not touch mom's nipples anymore. But play drum on mom's tummy.

Can call to poo most of the time. Pees when he is told too but lazy to announce his peeing so still needs his diaper. 

Had been potty training casually for 6 months now.

8-11/8/2017: diarrhea

Boom had diarrhea for 3 days but teacher denied that any other kids have it. Mom had to take Boom to the doctor on Fri afternoon. Boom cried a lot. Did not eat much this week.

Boom loves singing too much. Would sing night and day very loudly. Can sing for 1 hour before he falls asleep.

"Mommy ơi Boom thích bài này".

Very smart, understands everything. Can reason and argue. Curious about everything. 

His best friend now is Mimi.

6-7/8/2017: Ms Tuong away

Ms Tuong went home

For 2 days. Boom had fun with parents.

Went swimming and then Pizza 4p's. Ate well. Went for a walk around the lack. Ate ice cream, cookies, hotdog, drank milk. Coughed and spit up in the car unfortunately.

Had to shower 4 times in one day. Went to bed very late at 11pm.

Daddy took Boom to school and picked Boom up from school.

5/8/2017: cooking class

Woke up at 7. Wants mommy to wake up and hug him. Poops a big poop every day.  

Joined mom for cooking class but was a bit fussy. Went to the supermarket with Ms T and asked to buy this and that. Had to distract him to go home.

Ate some pasta and drank milk. Took a bath (protested and cried) then fell aslee quickly with Ms Tuong. 

1-4/8/2017: first week of Aug- bully friends

Back at work. Mom busy and usually comes home late but Boom is fine. Grandparents went back to Hoa Binh on Thursday. 

Boom misbehaved a bit at school: biting friends, throwig milk... teachers and parents had to talk to him. He understands everything and tried to avoid it.

Usually Ms Tuong had to get him to sleep to sleep earlier but still ends up 9-10pm. These days he only sleeps 9-10hrs per night and 2-3 hours at noon so

He is lacking 1-2 hours of sleep. Mom tried desperately but still could not get him to sleep earlier.

He's very happy to see mommy, kept hugging and kissing. But sometimes he is so imersed in playong that he doesn't care.

Since we were able to install his school camera, mom and dad sometimes watch him at school. He seems fine and happy and very independent.

25-31/7/2017: Ha Long bay

Mom worked late most of weekdays so ate out so did not have much time with Boom. Boom went to sleep with Ms Tuong earlier than usual (around 9) and transfered to mom.

Boom was very happy to see mommy. Would hug and kiss and say "mommy come back", "Boom love mommy", "Boom so happy", "Boom kiss mommy"

Went to Halong bay with dad's company. Had lots of kids Boom's age. Most of them were well behaved. Boom did not play with friends. Behaved so so. Napped late on the first day because he did not sleep in the car so missed out on sight seeing, went to bed late at 11.

Had fun sight seeing the next day and napped in the car ride home.

Went swimming on Sunday afternoon.

On Monday mom and dad had an argument because daddy was strict with Boom. Both Boom and mom cried.

24/7/2017: late bedtime, night wakings, new week

Night waking again. Ate a few bites of yogurt. Fell back asleep on the sofa. Since weaning, it has been a habit for him to wake up once per night. Always had to drink milk or go to the sofa to get back to sleep.

Woke up late at 8. Mom went to work. Boom had fun at school.

Spent the evening home with daddy and grandparents. Rode his cruze. Mom went home late because had work and Bach Duong's birthday.

Mom returned at 9:30 just as Boom was about to sleep. So it delayed his bedtime to 10:50z he waited for mommy to take a shower. Was "so ti" mommy while mommy brushed teeth. Helped mommy with ritual such as Hada and Halio. Fussy a bit but then lied down singing and fell asleep "so ti" a bit. 

Sleeping time has been terrible recently!

23/7/2017: back to Hanoi

Boom slept for 13 hours! With 1 night waking to drink milk and scratch his insect bites.

Played well with Minh and also with the beads and containers mommy gave. Ate a bit because he was hungry. Did not nap until we got into the car at 3:30. Slept the whole ride back to Hanoi. Grandparents Thai Ly came with us. 

Boom played well

With grandpa Thai. Went swimming with parents. Tried the new surfboard but it wasn't very good.

Family ordered Indian. Boom ate noodles and shrimp.

Went to sleep late at 10:45 again! 

22/7/2017: to Hoa Binh

Mom got up early for driving lesson before packing for Hoa Binh. Boom ate well

With Ms T. Daddy took Boom downstairs to drive his supercar and play in the playground.

Boom behaved in the car ride to Hoa Binh. Had to watch Youtube. Drank milk. Fell asleep for the last 30'. 

Stayed in his car seat the whole day whenever he drove.

Did not eat much for lunch in Hoa Binh. Took a shower. Watched Youtube all noon but did not sleep. Mom and dad did not get to nap. At least he stayed in bed.

Ate better in the afternoon. Went to Ms Tam's to visit. Saw some kids Boom's age there. They are so bold and strong, walking and running around. Boom is truly a city kid compared to them. Went to see the water at the dam. 

Pooped on the way home. Fussy while preparing dinner. Did not have dinner. Fell asleep at 7:30

21/7/2017: no time with Boom

Boom woke up in the middle of the night again. Drank milk and slept with Ms Tuong. Slept well until 8:30. 

Mom went to work all day and had dinner "gio bo Nghia" at TQT in the evening. Boom went to sleep at 9:20 just before mom came home. 

So mom did not see Boom all day except early morning.

Boom had a good day at school and enjoyed evening with Ms Tuong. 

20/6/2017: mommy back at McK, early bedtime

Mom and dad had an argument in the middle of the night. Mom really tired. Boom woke up in the middle of the night and peed leaking out of his diaper, wetting mommy. Mom had to take a shower and daddy got B back to sleep. Boom hugged mommy to sleep.

Both mom and B woke up at 7:30. Boom  was happy at school.

Mom had a long day back at McK. Got home almost 8. Had dinner and played with Boom and showered. Ms T rockwd B to sleep and got him to sleep at 9. Today mom got so little time wih Boom.

19/7/2017: still late bedtime, daddy took over

 Woke up at 7:30. Went to

School happily. Had a good day at school.

Pooped twice as usual: morning and evening.

Went to

Megamll in the evening and threw a tantrum because he wanted the sunglasses.

Likes eating grape.

Daddy took over bedtime. Boom found lots of excuses to avoid sleeping. Crying and asking for stuff. Finally was too sleepy but daddy had to say "no sleeping, play only..."

Fell asleep at 10. Sleeping has been terrible since Saigon trip.

Before weaning, his bedtime was 8-9. During weaning it was 9-10. After parents took over it became later to 9:30-10:30!!!

15-18/6/2017: visit Mina, late bedtime, good at school, asking Why, 2y sleep regression

Joined mom during cooking class on Sat morning and went to the supermarket for free samples and a car trolley ride.

Visited Mina on Sun morning but did not enjoy.

Had a long nap both days. Went swimming both days. Was quite cold so had to use the indoor pool on Sun. 

Went to school and behaved well on Mon and Tue. Ate well and napped well from mom's camera viewing. 

Still went to bed late. Had to let him cry a few times. Or Ms T had to rock him to sleep. Or if he would fall asleep by himself, it would take a long time.

He would refuse the jungle story or would turn on the light right afterwards. Would make excuses to go out of the room, find Ms Tuong, ask to eat, ask to poop... just to avoid going to bed. 

Usually goes to bed at 10 although he gets in bed at 8:30-9. Mom's so

Frustrated with his late bedtime. It has been on going for 1 month after weaning and resuming to sleep with mommy. Sometimes he would wake up at night, asking to go out, drink milk, go back to sleep. On lucky days, he would wake ip ask for mommy and mommy could hug him back to sleep. Other days he would wake up really early. Sometimes he would cry. Or he would lie in bed lazily rolling around and would not let anyone open the window blinds. Today he slept until 9AM, mom had to wake him up.

Started asking "Why" to everything!

14/7/2017: night waking, stricter, 4 poops, field trip

Woke up in the middle of the night asking for Ms Tuong and to drink milk. Fell asleep after drinking milk. Slept with Ms Tuong.

Mom stayed home to continue with Canada application and went to the gym.

Boom's school had a field trip to Bach Thao. Boom had fun. Behaved at school.

Happy at home but a bit fussy. Parents had to ignore him. Neighbor girls came to play with Boom. Boom was happy but cried when they left.

Cooperative doing his night routines. Pooped 3 times in the evening!!! Nowadays he would poop in the morning and evening. 

Cried a bit when parents turn off the light but tried to distract him by talking and telling stories. Joined in and was happy again. Fell aslee early at 9:30

Parwnts decided to be strict and sometimes let him cry. Cannot spoil him too much. 

10-13/7/2017: life as usual, bad sleeping habits

Back to school. Mom managed to install school camera. Boom behaved really well at school.

Fusys during bedtime at home. Always found excuses to delay bedtime. Would ask for Ms Tuong. The jungle story doesn't work anymore. Finally today mom and dad had to let him cry it out for 15' before falling asleep. Always went to sleep

Late at 10.

Does not sleep well since returning. Sometimes woke up in the middle of the night, sometimes early morning at 5 or 6. Only today he slept

Till 7:30

Terrible two and two year sleep regression?

9/7/2017: night waking and back to HN

Woke up at 2 asking for Ms Tuong, then to come down, then for mommy. Mommy had to hug Boom while he drank milk. Went back to mom's room and continued sleeping soundly.

Mom's golf lesson got canceled. However woke up at 7 crying "không bóc". Maybe he had a dream.

Went to Hanoi quan for breakfast. Spent 30' packing the rest of the stuff but there was an electricity cut off so was sweating. Boom played with grandma.

Grandparents took mom, Boom and Ms Tuong to the airport. Stopped at tailor to may ao dai but Boom did not enjoy.

Luckily Boom did not cry when saying goodbye to grandparents.

Behaved in the airport. Napped the whole

Flight. 

Behaved and happy to see daddy. However had to let him watch Youtube during the car ride home.

Went swimming in the afternoon but did not enjoy it. Has a very sly smile.

Ate OK. Went to bed earlier at 9:30. Automatically turn off the lights to hear the jungle story but still made up excuses to delay bedtime. Can say "Yes" since we started the jungle bedtime routine. 

8/7/2017: Crescent mall twice

Slept well but woke up because mom woke up early. Was sleepy and fussy. Mom went for golf lesson early. After that the whole family had breakfast at Pho Ong Gia.

Went to supermarket Giant with grandparents. Boom enjoyed riding in the car shopping cart but became fussy when he wanted to buy some toy cars.

Fussy at home. Ate a bit. Napped late at 1 with Ms Tuong upstairs. Woke up at 3. Mom got to nap alone.

Went to Crescent again in the afternoon. Rode a car cart in the supermarket and had some snacks. 

Had guests for dinner. Boom behaved at first but then kept dragging mommy upstairs. 

Went to sleep late past 10 with Ms Tuong on the third floor because mommy had to pack and clean the house. 

7/7/2017: early waking again

Woke up early crying again. Mom had golf lesson then went to visit 2 friends. Boom stayed home, went to Vinmart and napped with Ms Tuong.

Ms Tuong went to visit relatives so mom took care of Boom in the afternoon. Boom took a bath with grandma. Ate spagetti but did not eat much. 

Went to sleep with mommy but did not fall asleep. Ms Tuong had to get Boom to sleep when she got home. Went to sleep late at 10 again. 

6/7/2017: night waking, Coop mart, Crescent mall

Woke up at 3:30 crying really badly, pointing out to the door as if he saw something scary. Said "mommy no hug Boom", "mommy lie down". Finally let mommy hug around the house. Has to transfer to Ms Tuong. Thought that he would fall asleep again but stayed awake. Went to sleep for 30' at 7.

Went to Coop mart with the housekeepers. Mommy picked them ip after golf lesson. 

Had early lunch and took a long nap. Likes playing with Barbie. 

Went to Crescent mall with grandmaz Mom went out to meet friends NhiHa, Lan Huong, Lena, Vy, PM... and visited Vinhome Central Park. Came home at 10 just as Boom fell asleep. Overall had a good day besides the night waking. Did not eat much. Pooped twice.

5/7/2017: stayed home

GStayed home all day except for visiting Mrs Van's house. Napped early for almost 3 hours. Went to bed earlier than usual at 9:20.

Did not eat much. Still pooped twice. Got lots of mosquito bites. 

- has this new smile "chúm chím" and cười nheo mắt shyly

- loves to hug and cuddle on the bed

- so happy and keep saying "mommy come back" like in the book

- Loves playing with grandparents

- can follow instructions very well like fetching things

- imitates a dog

- sniff and kiss mommy's breasts

- loves to kiss but he is starting to get smelly mouth and yellow teeth from not brushing teeth
