Slept well last night except that went to bed late at 11, did not have dream feed so woke up early at 2:00 and 5:30. If give him a dreamfeed at 11:30 then might be able to extend his feed to 3:00 and 6:30 so will only have to feed once in the middle of the night. Did not have problem falling back to sleep but did not eat much.
Yesterday Mommy was able to ask BD some experience and also asked some friends. Made mommy more reassured and determined to spend time at home caring for Boom so he will develop better instead of leaving to nanny and let hom drink formula.
Today was a good day, Boom ate and slept according to schedule every 3 hours and need only some sush and pat before falling asleep if caught right when tired. However always woke up after 45' and need to be picked up to comfort before going back to sleep. Boom now has good eye contact and look at mommy in the eyes while nursing. Also curious looking round. Did some activities such as baby gym, listen to music, read book, walk around the house.
Was a bit fussy for evening nap but eventually fell asleep for 30' nap. When Boom woke up for dinner feed, daddy tried to give a bottle but it was a struggling. He refused and cried loudly no matter how many times. When offered breastfeed, he ate a bit and cried again. Now it is so difficult, he forgot the bottle in just a few days.
Fussy again after dinner feed due to all the problem trying to bottle feed. Fell asleep at the breast but woke again and both dad and mom had to comfort fir almost an hour before he became too sleepy to fight putting down the crib (before that he keeps protesting when put down but fell asleep right when picked up).
Slept soundly. Mommy also slepted and almost forgot to get up for dreamfeed if not for some small sound from Boom (rooting while sleeping sound) which is 4 hours from last feed but he wouldn't eat much.
Nowadays he doesn't scream for food, spend less time at the breast and has longer intervals between feeds, sometimes has to be forced to eat.
Mommy is concerned. Is he;
- getting more eficient?
- eating less because no longer growth spurt?
- just lazy and less interested in food?
