4/8:
Slept well at night but fell asleep while eating so only ate little, had to get up one extra time
Today family had to evacuate to baby room and library room to spray mosqito repellent in the master bedroom
Boom spent the whole day in his room
Took 3 naps
Mom had to rock to sleep for tje morning nap. Mom reorganized boom's closet while he was napping. Put away small clothes and take out bigger ones. All Boom's clothes are hand me down from cousins Bin, Ben, Voi, Phe. Only some new ones grandma and some people gave as gifts. Boom is only 6 weeks but almost double his birthweigh and almost too big for 3 months size. Sometimes wear size for 6 months. So the expensive Benetton clothes grandma both might be wasted as Boom only gets to wear a few times (though they are meant for 3-6 mos). Especially the shorts and pants. Now that Boom stays at home, he never wears pants, only wears diapers. As it's hot and such a hassle to change diapers with pants on.
Boom ate well but is not as interested in eating as before. Does mot cry for food the moment he wakes up. Sometimes mommy had to purposely make him nurse. And he would sometimes nurse very short time unless forced to continue or change to other breast. He would smile while nursing or sometimes stop and smile! Now he is grown up, he cries less and stop while nursing if pooping too. Mommy would put him in the infant chair to finish popping, change diaper. Only then would he continue eating.
Daddy had to sing to Boom for noon nap and went straight to worm afterwards.
Boom woke up for another feed but was fussy for a while. Mommy had to rock and leave Boom to sleep for afternoon nap on her body for 1.5 hours till daddy comes home because he would cry when put down!
Sat in infant chair while parents had dinner but got bored quickly.
Took a bath and was fussy while daddy tried to give a bottle of breastmilk. Did not eat much, only 40ml and cried. Wasted the big bottle of 160Ml expressed breast milk. Maybe because after a few days of not getting a bottle that he is not used to it anymore? Only settled down when mommy gave the breast, went to sleep after that but daddy had to comfort for a while. Slept at 10PM. Today the family slept in the guestroom so Boom got to share the bed with parents for the whole night for the first time! Mommy was always afraid daddy would roll over Boom.
