14/8

14/8

Feeds: 9, average interval 2h40
Sleep: 13h16, total 8 (4 daytime naps)
Diapers: 18

Last night slept well for the first half (8 hours from 6PM) but woke up early 3 hours from dreamfeed. Ate a little then spit up a bit. Had to change shirt. Should not have fed him so much at night. This has happened twice. Daddy had to rock back to sleep. Then wake up again after an hour. Daddy had to comfort again. Slept for 2 hours. Finally at almost 6 mommy had to feed him because he was making so much noise. So the plan for 4 hours interval was ruined. Fell asleep again for another 2 hours.

Conclusion: each night he can handle one long stretch so had to time this stretch. Should not let it start too eaely like 6. If he is asleep, wake him up to play and only settle for the night at 9-10PM. Or else he'll get up middle of the night and cannot sleep anymore. He doesn't ear much at night so should try to eliminate the feeding or make sure he eats enough or he'll wake up frequently.

Ms Lan gave a bottle at 8, didn't protest and finished 90ml. Fell asleep again. Made lots of noises and movements at the 45' mark but after a few minutes was able to settle again. Phew!

Struggled to sleep at noon only for 45'. After waking up and not sleeping again, mommy had to feed twice and let him sleep on the bed next to mom, wake up at 45' but mommy comforted back to sleep. Ended up sleeping a long time, mom had to wake him up after 2h15' to feed and rest to make it for bath time at 5. After bath still not hungry so played awhile and ate a big meal. Daddy put up new clocks in every room so the apartment is now pretty complete. Daddy played with him past 2 hours wake time so he became very hard to comfort to sleep. Took another 2 hours to get him
To sleep so time awake was 4.5 hours! Terrible. Kind of break the bad record. He got into the cycle of being too tired, frustrated but also hungry so he could neither eat or sleep properly. When he should be put down and calm, daddy kept playing and talking with him. First time daddy almost got him to sleep but put down too early. Second time mommy nursed him almost to sleep but daddy made her stop. He finally fell asleep nursing for a long time. Mommy had to let him sleep in the bed and hold him for awhile before falling into deep sleep. Let him stay there until dreamfeed (did not eat much) before transfering him to the crib.

Conclusion: never let baby stay up more than 2 hours!
